The next major installment in the continuing Like a Dragon series is coming very soon. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth launches on Windows PC via Steam, the PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox consoles on Jan. 26. It’s taking Ichiban Kasuga, Kazuma Kiryu, and some other familiar faces from Japan to the sunny shores of Honolulu to engage in another action-packed and presumably ridiculously goofy RPG.
While 2023’s Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name was a smaller adventure (at least, by comparison to the many other gigantic titles in the series), Infinite Wealth promises to be a huge sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, bringing along its turn-based gameplay and goofier tone.

The best healing items in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth can be acquired right at the start of the game — the tricky part is just farming all the materials you’re going to need to make them. As soon as you arrive in Revolve bar in Little Japan, you’ll be able to bring ingredients to the owner to mix drinks and other healing items. These are by far the best healing items in the game, able to heal your entire party or heal both HP and MP at the same time.
There are two major side-stories in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth — and the first you’ll find is the Sujimon League. In this extended parody of Pokemon you’ll catch various criminals, creeps and perverts and pit them against each other in pit fights. Battles are relatively simple, but the league gets harder the further you progress up the ranks. If you’re looking for a few tips to help you become Sujimon Champion, we’ve got the info you need. After completing the league, here are five details we wish we knew way earlier.
Few phrases in video games send chills down one’s spine like, “It gets good after eight hours.” With that much time, you could beat Bowser in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, watch most of The Bear, or read The Great Gatsby — twice. It should be no surprise, then, that those six cruel words hang like an albatross around the necks of countless role-playing games collecting dust in my backlog.

At 7.6 in magnitude, the earthquake caused a lot of structural damage, along with loss of life and injury. While it is easy to get depressed just thinking about the situation, one mangaka is using his voice to encourage and comfort.

can make up for the worst combat sin committed by its predecessor — and no, it's not the turn-based combat. The previous game in the series,, served as a soft reboot for the long-running RPG franchise. It transitioned from the original English series title,, to a direct translation of its Japanese title,. It introduced a new protagonist, the shaggy-haired, -loving Ichiban Kasuga. And, perhaps most divisively, it replaced the series' classic brawler combat with a turn-based system, heavily inspired by RPGs of yore.
Sega confirmed that the upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's New Game Plus feature is only available through a DLC paywall, upsetting fans. There is a lot of anticipation behind the upcoming eighth mainline Like a Dragon game, as it features both Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu sharing the spotlight. It's also teasing how it will be the final chapter of Kiryu's story, such as with older characters and story threads from Kiryu's past being brought to the forefront. Despite the excitement behind this Hawaii-trotting adventure, one thing that had garnered controversy before Infinite Wealth's launch is its New Game Plus feature.
It’s been almost seven years since Danganronpa V3 brought a close to the trilogy of gloriously twisted murder-mystery visual novels. With several of the series’ biggest names going on to release their next game as an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch, there’s room for a properly good successor on PC. Or why not successors? Last year’s exceptional Paranormasight is definitely in the running, and 2024 is already looking promising thanks to the reveal of Kumitantei: Old-School Slaughter.
