Blizzard announced three new World of Warcraft expansions at BlizzCon on Friday, as well as confirmation that Cataclysm will come to World of Warcraft Classic next year.

Speaking on stage at Blizzcon, Warcraft's executive creative director Chris Metzen has announced The Worldsoul Saga, an overarching story event for World of Warcraft that will encompass not the next expansion, but three more coming to the game.

World of Warcraft   is telling a big story. so big, that the team announced The Worldsoul Saga at BlizzCon, which will tell a story over three expansions. The first, The War Within , got a new cinematic and will be out in 2024.

The Wrath of the Lich King expansion was arguably the peak of World of Warcraft. The team was firing on all cylinders, coming off of the already impressive Burning Crusade, and growing its player base steadily. Then Cataclysm hit, and some folks were torn on its efficacy as a follow-up.

Chris Metzen made a full-throated return to the World of Warcraft spotlight today, commanding the BlizzCon 2023 stage to announce not just one World of Warcraft expansion, but three expansions that will make up the «Worldsoul Saga.»

At Blizzcon 2023, Blizzard annouced Overwatch 2’s new heroes, its brand new Clash mode and upcoming seasonal themes for 2024.

Today at BlizzCon, Blizzard announced that the upcoming tenth, eleventh, and twelfth expansions to its ongoing popular MMORPG World of Warcraft, all three of which will be contained in a larger narrative called World of Warcraft: The Worldsoul Saga. The first of these will be entitled World of Warcraft: The War Within, and it's coming next year.

Blizzard has announced the first expansion to Diablo 4 titled Vessel of Hatred at Blizzcon 2023. The expansion will bring with it a new story, a returning zone, and the introduction of a brand new class into the Diablo universe.

With Ubisoft rumoured to be working on a singleplayer sequel and some kind of live-service multiplayer follow-up, the studio has gently put Far Cry 6 out to pasture. While the game's online services will continue, it won't receive any updates in future. Yara will forevermore be what it is today, at least until those online services get switched off too.

Paramount has announced that their hit neo-western show Yellowstone will get two more spin-off series, one titled 1944 and a contemporary series named 2024. The Sega Saturn’s second controller design has become the stuff of legend over the course of the last 25 years. While these consoles won’t be beefier in terms of specs, they will take up a lot less space in your living room, as they’re designed to be much smaller than the current PS5 models.

Nearly three years after the initial launch of the PlayStation 5, Sony has revealed a slimmer redesign. Both the disc drive model and the digital model will be updated, but these two models aren't as different as they used to be: you will now be able to purchase a disc drive separately, allowing you to upgrade a digital model to a disc-compatible version. Both versions will be available this November, and will eventually replace the current model of PS5 altogether.

Paradox Interactive announced today that the company will publish Foundry, a factory-building sandbox simulation game by Channel 3 Entertainment. In Foundry, players are tasked with using their imagination to build an efficient factory in a procedurally-generated sandbox. Prior to the announcement, Foundry had climbed to the top of itch.io as a top-selling game. The game can be compared to similar factory-building titles like Satisfactory and Factorio. Players start at the bottom of the technological totem pole, having to manually mine and process resources. Eventually, you unlock the ability to craft new machinery, develop technologies, and automate your entire production line.
