This is a very early announcement, but doing so now seems to indicate much confidence in whatever type media project they are creating. It comes after success in animationin Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners. Anonymous Content has a track record in TV, with the aforementioned True Detective, Mr. Robot, and a number of current series, likeSaint X and Shantaram. It seems that we might be getting a live-action TV series, but there’s nothing more confirmed as of yet than the two companies are working on something.
The press release announcing the deal did confirm the producers and that the teams are working together, but it will be a while until we know more.
CD Projekt has revealed Cyberpunk 2077's Update 2.02 is "coming soon" and includes a handful of bug fixes and other challenges.
This is the year of Cyberpunk 2077's about-face. Between the game's wide-ranging 2.0 update and its slick Phantom Liberty expansion pack, most onlookers now agree that the game is—if not the awe-inspiring masterwork it was hyped up to be prior to release—pretty good. But over at CD Projekt, the game's disastrous launch still looms large in devs' memories, and they're keen to avoid a repeat performance.
Cyberpunk 2077 was easily one of the more anticipated video game releases. Players worldwide couldn’t wait to get their hands on the latest RPG release from CD Projekt Red. The studio had made quite the name for themselves with the success of their The Witcher trilogy. So now that they were delivering a brand new franchise into the marketplace that traded the fantasy setting for a cyberpunk futuristic world, it piqued quite a few player’s interests. However, as you know, the game had a very rocky development cycle as it reached closer to its set release date.
A new Bloomberg report reveals CD Projekt Red employed AI to recreate the voice of an actor that passed away after the game's release. Speaking to the outlet, CDPR said it reproduced the performance of Miłogost Reczek (who plays V's confidante and Ripper doc Viktor Vektor) for the recently released Phantom Liberty expansion.
CD Projekt Red used AI to replace the voice actor Miłogost Reczek in Cyberpunk 2077 following his passing in 2021.
Developers at CD Projekt Red—the Polish studio responsible for a trilogy of videogames about a worker who believes in negotiating a fair price for his labor and one game set in a dystopian future where corporate exploitation is the rule—have formed a union. The Polish Gamedev Workers Union (PGWU) is part of the national union OZZ Inicjatywa Pracownicza, and is open to developers who work for other studios in Poland.
Looks are everything in Night City, or so we're told. True enough, Cyberpunk 2077 has a pretty great character creation system and enough clothing options to leave you stuck in your inventory for hours deciding what to wear, but you rarely get to see the results. For the most part, you're playing in first-person, leaving your drip unappreciated throughout the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a live-action adaptation, developer CD Projekt Red has announced. The project is being developed in collaboration with Anonymous Content, the independent media company best known for producing Emmy-winning shows like True Detective and Mr. Robot. It's unclear if this take will be a feature-length film or a TV series, but the hunt for a screenwriter has commenced, with plans to tell a brand-new story set in the futuristic neon-lit world, where sex, body modifications, and political chatter are commonplace. The developer also stressed that the adaptation is at an ‘early developmental stage,' so it'll be a while before we receive any further updates.
CD Projekt Red, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, has announced the studio will be partnering with Anonymous Content to produce a live-action “project” set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Anonymous Content is most known for producing works such as True Detective and Mr. Robot, but its catalog is overflowing with series such as Saint X, Shantaram, and The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey.
With the vast majority of CD Projekt RED’s work on Cyberpunk 2077 having wrapped up after Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, the developer has now entered a phase where it’s started looking ahead to the next game in the franchise, codenamed Project Orion. It is, however, currently in the very early stages of development, which means there will be plenty of key aspects of the game that even the development team will not have concretely nailed down just yet.
Cyberpunk mania is at an all-time high right now, thanks to the one-two punch Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and the base game’s Update 2.0, and CD Projekt RED seems to have every intention of capitalizing on the IP’s popularity as much as possible.
