Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red (CDPR) has partnered with Anonymous Content Studios and will soon begin production on a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 project. Though details on the upcoming project are sparse, Anonymous Content has an impressive track record--the studio produced Oscar-winning films like The Revenant and Spotlight, but has also succeeded in the television industry, creating popular series like Mr. Robot and True Detective.
Though it hasn't been explicitly stated whether the Cyberpunk 2077 project will be a standalone film, a miniseries, or a television show, the fact that CDPR is working closely with Anonymous Content's head of television Garret Kimble suggests that a miniseries or television show are the most likely options.

CDPR is also working directly with Anonymous Content Studios’ Chief Creative Officer David Levine. Levine was previously HBO’s EVP and co-head of drama for over a decade, overseeing production of series such as True Detective, Westworld, and True Blood, according to a recent press release posted to CDPR's official website. Levine was also involved in the production some early seasons of Game of Thrones.
This isn't the first time CDPR has dipped its toes into the world of television. In 2022, the studio partnered with Netflix and Studio Trigger to create Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, an anime series that was well-received by fans of both the video game and the genre at large.
The press release states that the project «is at an early development stage» and is currently on the hunt for a screenwriter «to tell a brand-new story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077,» adding that the project will be «developed in close collaboration» with the Cyberpunk 2077 creative team. Though rather sparse on concrete details, the press release also promises that more info regarding the live-action project «will be made available as the partnership between Anonymous Content and CD Projekt Red progresses.»
Unfortunately, this means there are no further details on the project to share at this time. On the bright side, the recently released Phantom Liberty expansion is so packed with new content, CDPR is recommending that players start a new playthrough from scratch to see everything the update has to offer. So at the very least, fans of the Cyberpunk franchise have something to hold
CD Projekt has revealed Cyberpunk 2077's Update 2.02 is "coming soon" and includes a handful of bug fixes and other challenges.
"This time around, we were dealing with a smaller and much more focused story. Although we were making a spy-thriller story, it was essential for me to bring out colors and emotions that went beyond what you might associate with a story in this genre," explains CD Projekt Red (CDPR) senior composer P.T. Adamczyk, discussing how he began creating the soundscape for Cyberpunk 2077's blockbuster expansion pack, Phantom Liberty.
's free 2.0 update has brought the title closer to what players expected it would be at its initial launch in many ways. The update incorporated overhauled police AI, finally added vehicle combat and car chases, introduced a revamped Cyberware system, and overhauled the game's skill trees. Unfortunately, with the changes made to the aforementioned skill system, the skill checks found within the game's missions have worsened.
I adore the user interface of Cyberpunk 2077. Developer CD Projekt Red manages to blend effective communication of player information like health, ammunition, and cyberware opportunities with an immersive and sleek style that’s Night City’s own. The same goes for most weapons; looking down scopes can tell you distances and ammo counts, and often plays with your perception to involve you in the world around you. The problem is, this can sometimes be way too distracting to take in during a hectic firefight, so one modder has solved the problem.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty includes the voice of a deceased actor from the base game, replicated using an AI algorithm by developer CD Projekt Red for the DLC campaign. The technology was used to recreate the sound of the late Miłogost Reczek, who voices delightfully named ripperdoc Viktor Vektor in the base game, with the permission from his family.
Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red used AI to recreate the voice of a deceased Polish actor for the Phantom Libery expansion, a new report revealed.
It might seem a little tacky to throw shade at Cyberpunk 2077, given how it’s been in recent months and now that its beloved DLC is out and about. But the truth is that the game still hasn’t fully embraced what CD Projekt Red said it would, and there are still many issues holding the game back. We’ll give the team credit. They have gone above and beyond to try and fix things, even spending $125 million after the game’s launch to try and fix things. The question was also, would everything be fixed? Well, the 2.0 update revealed that the answer is “no.”
In Cyberpunk 2077, there are few problems that can’t be solved with either a bullet, a blade, or a colorfully worded variation of “F you.” In Phantom Liberty, the first and only expansion for the game, developer CD Projekt Red throws a curveball at the player in the form of an optional final mission that channels inspiration from one of the greatest survival-horror games of the eighth console generation.
Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a live-action adaptation, developer CD Projekt Red has announced. The project is being developed in collaboration with Anonymous Content, the independent media company best known for producing Emmy-winning shows like True Detective and Mr. Robot. It's unclear if this take will be a feature-length film or a TV series, but the hunt for a screenwriter has commenced, with plans to tell a brand-new story set in the futuristic neon-lit world, where sex, body modifications, and political chatter are commonplace. The developer also stressed that the adaptation is at an ‘early developmental stage,' so it'll be a while before we receive any further updates.
CD Projekt Red, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, has announced the studio will be partnering with Anonymous Content to produce a live-action “project” set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Anonymous Content is most known for producing works such as True Detective and Mr. Robot, but its catalog is overflowing with series such as Saint X, Shantaram, and The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey.
Cyberpunk mania is at an all-time high right now, thanks to the one-two punch Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and the base game’s Update 2.0, and CD Projekt RED seems to have every intention of capitalizing on the IP’s popularity as much as possible.
