Where, When, and How to Start Phantom Liberty

Like many of CD Projekt RED's games, 's DLC contains a great number of excellently concealed Easter eggs, hidden details, and subtle pop-culture references. Although some of 's secrets are easily discovered, others are incredibly hard to uncover — this, however, is part of the fun. While simple awareness of a reference is rewarding, having to spend a great deal of time and effort in locating an Easter egg amplifies the reward.

Adding to the expansive arsenal available in the base game of , adds a number of new Iconic weapons to the game. While many can be found by simply playing through the DLC's story missions, the locations of others can be especially hard to pinpoint. Some weapons, for example, may only be made available through certain quests or decisions, while others might be hidden in subtle ways or placed in obscure locations. And, as Iconic weapons tend to have effects that can't be replicated by any other piece of gear, missing them may deprive a playthrough of unique gameplay.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is being heralded as the game that we deserved back in 2020, finally completing CD Projekt Red's vision of Night City. The throwable machete is part of, a paid expansion for CD Projekt Red’s popular RPG. The Agaou is considered an iconic piece of gear and one of the coolest new weapons in . What makes it so special is that it can be thrown at enemies for massive damage but, in addition to that, it also discharges an AoE shock effect onto them.

Aside from the main storyline of 's spy thriller DLC, the expansion also has several new gigs that V can choose to take on along the way. Gigs are entirely optional but often can provide some good rewards and experience, in addition to providing some colorful backstory and lore for the game. They can often be triggered by entering an area or through story advancement, and are frequently started with a phone call, but they do not need to be completed immediately, so V can circle back when ready.
