Cyberpunk 2077's first (and last) expansion is out now on PS5. Phantom Liberty adds a whole new storyline and district to CD Projekt Red's open world RPG, and the initial reception has been incredibly positive. Of course, it helps that the base game has been significantly improved with Update 2.0 — which dropped just five days ago at the time of writing.
«Phantom Liberty is often Cyberpunk 2077 at its very best,» we concluded in our Phantom Liberty PS5 review. «A gripping narrative complete with great characters adds another dimension to the open world RPG, while the main mission and side quest design remains top notch throughout. It's a tremendous expansion that delivers a truly memorable experience.» If you couldn't already tell, we loved it, awarding it a final score of 9/10.

Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
I played it when the PS5 version came out. I wasn't blown away. But I'm looking forward to giving the game another go now that it's more or less complete.
I am! I started it this morning before work. I did the first two main missions and thought it was awesome. I’m excited to dive back into the game later tonight.

Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 might have made a lot of improvements to Cyberpunk 2077 but one new bug has introduced a haunted police car to Night City.
's DLC brings many new side quests to the open world of Night City, but one in particular shouldn't be skipped. Naturally, the main focus of the DLC is on its tense, twisted spy thriller of a story. Even so, some of its side quests do a wonderful job of expanding its world, getting the player acquainted with the notable people, places, and things of Dogtown to ease them along their journey.
There’s one incredibly powerful Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty gun you need to snag, and it’s actually really easy to get. With so many extra weapons to choose from in the new Cyberpunk DLC from CD Projekt Red, we’ve discovered one that you can get with basically no effort that offers up not just a solid gun but allows for a fair bit of customization too.
There are several new characters you can meet in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion. These notable characters will be working alongside you, or even against you, throughout the narrative, and one of the new characters you can meet is Alex. She was on Solomon Reed’s previous team when they operated with the FIA, and she’s been undercover in Dogtown, working as a bartender.
One of the reasons that Cyberpunk 2077 has been such a tremendous success is due to the many unique experiences that players can encounter as they play through the RPG adventure. The all-important Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available to download on PS5. Weighing in at around 17GB, this is a massive, game-changing patch. Entire systems have been completely overhauled, while countless smaller changes add up to create a much more refined gameplay experience.
Cyberpunk 2077 is finally here, or at least it feels like it. CD Projekt Red seems to have done what many thought impossible and turned the ambitious RPG from a burning wreck (at launch) into something exemplary. It took nearly three years, mind you, but we're feeling the hype, and Phantom Liberty (which we hailed as Cyberpunk's Blood and Wine) isn't even out yet!
It's taken almost three years to get here, but we're confident in saying that Cyberpunk 2077 is now an excellent open world RPG. Update 2.0 just launched on PS5, and it makes a laundry list of improvements and adjustments to the game. Entire systems have been redone, combat has been refreshed, and overall, it just feels like a much better game — and we'd argue it's been pretty great since it released on PS5 last year.
Cyberpunk 2077 fans have a reason to dive right back into Night City this week. Just yesterday, we saw the release of Phantom Liberty into the marketplace. This expansion, which brings V into a new questline and area, is something that is gaining quite a bit of attention for CD Projekt Red. While reviews and impressions have been positive, fans are running into an issue. It looks like auto-save and synching might be delayed. Today, we’re getting word as to why this is happening from the development team.
's main story is all about becoming a legendary edgerunner in Night City and getting Johnny Silverhand's relic out of V's head, but a distinct highlight of the game is romancing some of its key characters. Romancing Judy or Panam seem to be the most popular of the game's five options, but each have an associated storyline worth playing through even if love's not on the agenda. The release of, 's first and only expansion, has brought with it the 2.0 update and a significant overhaul to the whole game. Included in 's new story is Songbird, a major character working for the President of the New United States of America, but the DLC doesn't seem to extend any new offerings of romance.
