First announced in what feels like a bygone era — at E3 of 2018 — has been in development for at least six years with nary a whisper of what it is. No one knows where it'll be set, what it'll be subtitled, what kind of quests it'll send players on, or truthfully, anything about it. In the meantime, it's fallen to fan-made projects to provide new -related content, be they game-changing mods or works of fan art.

While it’s true that the “nature of video gamers” is based partially on their need to wait for the next big video game title to release, that doesn’t mean they like waiting for it to come out. After all, wouldn’t you rather play a game now than have to wait for its actual release date? That’s what we thought. In the case of The Elder Scrolls 6, Bethesda announced the game at E3 2018. That’s right, they announced the game almost six years ago now, and we still have no inkling of what it will be like, when it’ll be released, or how it’ll appear on next-gen systems.

That success extends to the fifth installment in the main franchise, which remains incredibly popular with players.

We’re used to seeing developers and publishers release ports for past games on the mobile platform. More impressive title ports are being released, with new devices proving better suited for gaming. It's also been rewarding for fans willing to reinvest in the title on different consoles, as more content has been added to it with each update.

As such, there are plenty of options for anyone to explore — but 10 in particular stand out as the best wives in, thanks to their unique personalities, captivating backstories, and specific gameplay advantages. Unfortunately, 's age becomes quite apparent when examining the romance system.

is a game of freedom, with the power to choose any path and for each Dragonborn to be whatever they wish. However, such freedom and choice means that there will be some game mechanics that will be outright ignored by some. Whether it's because the mechanic is broken, boring, or because it serves no function outside a very specific set of circumstances, there are some game mechanics that will be avoided by Dragonborns of all kinds.

With 's latest, a lot of new content has been added, including new homes, such as the one found at Gallow's Hall. However, if you are looking to get this home, you will need to complete a quest called "" You will first need to reach Gallow's Hall, but finding this location is a bit tricky. You will be able to find the Hall by the banks of Mara's Eye Pond.

According to documents filed as part of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) case filed in the agency’s attempt to stop the Microsoft-Activision Blizzard deal, it looks like the next Elder Scrolls game is not expected until 2026 at least, and skipping PlayStation.

The Elder Scrolls VI is now in early development, Bethesda has confirmed. Speaking to Spanish publication Vandal, Bethesda's Head of Publishing Pete Hines confirmed that while the hype for Starfield draws ever so close, some developers at the studio have been working on the Tamriel fantasy sequel, which has now left the pre-production stage. Both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 were revealed at the 2018 E3 event, with the former sci-fi RPG being way ahead in the release pipeline. For now, Bethesda is fully focused on its launch and potential post-launch support, and therefore, it'll be at least a few years before we hear any new details about TES 6.

Even after Starfield's launch, don't expect to hear more about Bethesda's fantasy RPG anytime soon.

And when it's finally out the door, that clears the deck for the game everyone's really been waiting for: The Elder Scrolls 6. Right? Well, yes, but not anytime soon.

In fact, The Elder Scrolls 6 has finally exited the pre-production phase, and has officially entered early development.

There is quite a bit of hype over Bethesda’s next major RPG release. Starfield was first teased years ago alongside the next installment to The Elder Scrolls franchise. However, we knew that Starfield would be released first. With the new RPG from the talented folks at Bethesda nearing its release next week or in just two days if you’re an early access player, the attention might soon transition over to what might be next. Today, we’re finding out that Bethesda’s Pete Hines commented on The Elder Scrolls 6.

With Starfield now just a couple of days away from its early access launch, Bethesda is also sharing a bit more about the next Bethesda Game Studios project: The Elder Scrolls VI.

"[The Elder Scrolls 6] is in development," Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines said when asked about whether the long-awaited sequel was still in the concept phase. "But it's in early development."

Todd Howard, director and executive producer at Bethesda, has said that he wants The Elder Scrolls 6 to be «the ultimate fantasy-world simulator.»

We've been talking an awful lot about Starfield over the past few weeks, but hey, what about Bethesda's other upcoming mega-RPG, The Elder Scrolls 6? It's been a full five years since the next great adventure in Tamriel was announced, and we still know absolutely nothing about it. With a lineage spanning back to 1994, it’s difficult to talk about RPGs without mentioning Bethesda Studios’ flagship franchise, the Elder Scrolls. Whether your first adventure across Tamriel came while battling the vicious dragon Alduin in 2011’s Skyrim or you’ve been following the franchise ever since saving Emperor Uriel Septim’s life in Arena almost three decades ago, chances are you’ve dabbled in one of these seminal fantasy epics.

It’s been over a decade since the launch of the last game in the Elder Scrolls series, and clearly, it’s going to be an even longer wait before The Elder Scrolls 6 launches. Surprisingly enough, however, it seems fans of the series might still have a major new release to look forward to in relatively near future, because it’s been claimed that a remaster or remake of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is in development at Virtuos, the co-developer of Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

The Elder Scrolls Online is still holding its Arcanist event through Friday, but the team has a lineup of login rewards for August, and the return of the Zeal of Zenithar event.

The Morrowind project that aims to restore the entire province’s mainland in the third Elder Scrolls RPG game from Bethesda has just uploaded a colossal update, as five more expansions, hundreds of quests, NPCs, and thousands of interior and exterior spaces are still coming to the mod. So if the wait for the Elder Scrolls 6 release date is too much, this Morrowind project will keep you busy for ages.

The Epic Games Store is giving away two new free games until July 27th on PC. They include Murder by Numbers, Mediatonic’s murder mystery puzzler with Picross mechanics, and ZeniMax Online Studios’ The Elder Scrolls Online. You’ll need an Epic Games account to claim them and the Epic Games Launcher to play them.

The Elder Scrolls Online is free on EGS until 27 July, so you've got just under a week to pick it up, alongside the pretty great puzzler Murder by Numbers. Maybe also make a mental note to check back at the same time next week as the freebies then include true RTS royalty in the form of the Homeworld Remastered Collection, and the stylish FPS Severed Steel, which I haven't played but seems to have pretty great reviews across the board.

Starting today, The Elder Scrolls Online and Murder By Numbers are both free to keep from the digital store. Something for multiplayer dragon slayers and solo picross lovers alike.

It looks like theleak last week was true, as The Elder Scrolls Online is free on the Epic Games Store now through July 27th. It's just the base game, but it's a start if you've never dove into the MMO.
