Sabotage Studio, the creator of Sea of Stars, revealed a new update that will add a co-op mode for the indie RPG. The announcement came after Sea of Starssurpassed more than 5 million players, and in it, the studio provided a teaser to showcase how this new co-op mode would work in practice.

It seems as though Dave the Diver is a big hit with those subscribed to the Extra tier of PlayStation Plus. The Extra tier of PlayStation Plus gives subscribers access to everything that comes with the Essential tier, like the monthly free games, as well as a huge rotating library of select PS4 and PS5 titles, ala Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation now. For the most part, the new PS Plus Extra games are comprised of older titles, but there are times when new games debut on the service.

Sabotage Studio announced a milestone of five million players for Sea of Stars this week and released a teaser showing off an upcoming three player couch co-op mode for the game.

Not content with being one of the best single-player experiences of 2023, Sea of Stars is readying the modern-classic RPG to become one of this year’s most delightful multiplayer games. Developers Sabotage Studio have revealed that three-player co-op is on the way, letting you adventure through the entire campaign with a party of pals.

In 2023, Sabotage released Sea of Stars, a role-playing game set thousands of years before the studio’s previous game The Messenger. Packed with puzzles, engaging turn-based combat, and a classic art style, the title saw universal acclaim, with many critics comparing it to heavy hitters like Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger.

The newly launched RPG Sea of Stars has already taken the title for Indie Game of the Year in 2023, and Sabotage Studio already have plans to introduce more content via a DLC that is claimed to be “wacky and mysterious.”

Sea of Stars was a highlight in a year that’s going to go down as one of the best we’ve ever seen in gaming, with Sabotage Studio’s retro-styled RPG garnering widespread praise for everything from its story and combat to its art style and more. Understandably enough, fans of the RPG have been desperate to experience more of the game, and sure enough, Sabotage Studio is working on new content.

The creators of Chrono Trigger met up in person for the first time in 30 years to discuss not only the future of the franchise, but to give praise to the newly released and highly acclaimed RPG Sea of Stars .

Sabotage Studio made the announcement regarding the turn-based combat RPGs milestone just four short months after the game’s initial debut. 

Sabotage Studio, developer of indie RPG Sea of Stars, has removed the appearance of YouTuber Jirard «The Completionist» Khalil as a cameo in the game. The move follows the ongoing investigations into The Open Hand Foundation, a fundraising body created by Khalil's family.

In an announcement posted to the game’s official discord, a Sea of Stars developer announced that a cameo of Jirard Khalil, better known as gaming YouTuber “The Completionist,” would be removed from the game. “Jirard the Constructionist” was an NPC that provided additional buildings for the town of Mirth when given certain items.

Sea of Stars is an upcoming RPG that looks fantastic and plays even better. For someone who has never clicked with retro RPG titles, I played the Sea of Stars demo and was blown away. I can’t wait to play more! If you want to see if Sea of Stars is right for you, you can play the demo right now.
