Sea of Stars is Steam Deck Verified

Starfield is a vast game taking place across multiple stars and systems, and despite its vision of a highly technological future, there are no maps for cities, planets, or interior areas – anywhere. We can tell you where all the good stuff is in our handy Walkthrough, but you might not want to follow a guide page-by-page. That's what maps are for! While much of the planet surfaces, bases, and spaceships are randomly generated, the core settlements of Starfield, with their many vendors and side quests, are set locations and remain static across all players' games. Not long ago, we spoke about rumors of a new handheld gaming PC from Lenovo that could potentially best Valve’s Steam Deck. Well, it turns out the Legion GO is actually happening, and it’s coming out at the end of October.

After the Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally, it’s Lenovo’s turn to have a go at handheld gaming PCs with the newly-announced, Windows 11-powered Legion Go. It’s a chunky lad compared to its peers, weighing 854g and packing an 8.8in display, but promises a bigger battery and – most interestingly – a pair of Nintendo Switch-style detachable controllers.

If you want to give your Steam Deck or ROG Ally a historic-looking home, this new dock might be just the nostalgia hit you're craving. Third-party peripheral manufacturer Gulikit is showcasing an impressively designed dock for handheld consoles at Gamescom, drawing inspiration from the iconic Super Nintendo gaming console.

Qualcomm has announced a new range of chips aimed squarely at gaming handhelds. The highest spec model, the Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2, is said to be over twice as fast as its predecessor. So, can it take the fight to the Steam Deck or even AMD's awesome Phoenix APU in handheld's like the Asus ROG Ally?
