The best skills in Rise of the Ronin

While you do pick a starting class of sorts in Rise of the Ronin, that doesn’t lock you out of using any of the game’s numerous weapons or abilities. That initial choice simply determines your starting stats and skills, and you can still freely mold your ronin’s proficiencies with as much detail as you can their appearance. Previous Team Ninja games have had some less-than-friendly UIs for their leveling system, and while it is much better here, it is still quite overwhelming. You have multiple branches of skills spread across the four main categories, plus most skills can be leveled up more than once. If you’re ready to learn the ways of the samurai, enter our dojo to learn which skills are the best.

Elden Ring Fans Think They've Found Reference To Messmer In The Base Game

Elden Ring has a set of chest armour called the Depraved Perfumer Robe which is embroidered with a writhing red snake that wraps around itself. It was long assumed that this was a reference to Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, the god-devouring serpent found at Volcano Manor. However, in light of Shadow of the Erdtree's first trailer, fans think the armour might have been teasing Messmer this entire time.

"The biggest revolution in gaming in decades" is a $180 AI-powered fart box that makes your room smell of blood, gunfire, explosions, and – seriously – "clean air"

Technology, as storied author Ursula K. Le Guin noted in a prescient 2005 post, is not limited to high-tech hardware but also encompasses the likes of paper, furniture, medicine, and much more. I would go further and argue that some outwardly high-tech hardware should not be classified as technology, and I will now point any naysayers to the GameScent Automated Gaming Scent Atomizer, a $180 AI-powered box that will fart out smells designed to match whatever game you're currently playing.

Every time I think it may finally be dislodged from my brain, Astlibra Revision gives me a new reason to talk about it. The weirdest, most underrated JRPG of 2022 has returned once again, this time with a chunky side story that turns the side-scrolling action game into a roguelike with procedural loot and levels for another "20+ hours" of ass-kicking with a new protagonist.

Delicious in Dungeon’s delectable dishes, ranked

It’s no secret that anime food has a reputation for being gobsmackingly good-looking. This is especially true in Delicious in Dungeon, the new “action gourmet” fantasy anime from Studio Trigger that premiered in January on Netflix. Each episode, our intrepid troupe of adventurers ventures deeper and deeper into the catacombs of a gigantic underground kingdom as they vanquish (and cook) a slew of foul creatures on their way to rescuing one of their own from a powerful red dragon. All of the dishes look amazing, though some more than others.

I'm not joking when I say this mini-fridge has been one of the most transformative PC gaming purchases I've ever made (and it's on sale today)

Most years, I log on to work over the Black Friday weekend with the intention of discussing the best deal I've bought. This time I've had my eye on extra storage, with a Lexar 4TB SSD (-19% off at $187) making it all the way through checkout. However, I cancelled once I remembered that the Alienware R10 it was destined for, which I bought a couple of Black Fridays ago (and honestly have regretted due to the hassle it's caused) only has one NVMe slot. I don't have the brainspace to futz around with an adapter or migrating my data on the current drive, particularly as the case is such a pig to deal with that I hast actually drawn blood. So instead, let's talk mini-fridges, and why they're one of the best upgrades you can make to your PC gaming setup.

BlizzCon 2023 Charity Auction Now Live

One of the core pillars of gaming is sharing — sharing experiences and moments with others to laugh, cry, and build long lasting friendships. What better way to exemplify the spirit of sharing than with charity? Gaming has always had a long history of charity with charity streams, events like GDQ, contests, and more. Blizzard is no exception to this, with millions of charity pets sold to raise many millions of dollars for good causes. To celebrate BlizzCon this year and the spirit of sharing, Blizzard is now hosting a charity auction online for people to bid on numerous pieces of signed artwork and other great additions to any fan’s collection. The proceeds of this year’s virtual auction will go to Direct Relief, which provides healthcare facilities in resource-poor areas with medicines and supplies in 100+ countries around the world.
