14 years after launch and five years after expiring music licenses forced it off of digital stores, Obsidian's Alpha Protocol is back online with some modern upgrades to give the cult classic spy RPG a second life.

If you cast your mind back to 2019, you might remember that the cult classic RPG Alpha Protocol was surprisingly removed from Steam, becoming unavailable to purchase and play digitally. Later on, Sega clarified that the delisting was down to the expiration of its publishing rights, leaving the game stranded and the only way to play it being to obtain a physical copy.

The ambitious, yet flawed Alpha Protocol is available for purchase once again. The 2010 game, which was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Sega, was removed from all platforms in 2019 because Sega’s music licensing rights had expired. The game is making a comeback as a DRM-free exclusive on GOG.com, available today for $19.99, with an additional 10% launch discount lasting through April 3.

The first 10.2.6 PTR has added many new items associated with the Trading Post. Many of these are themed around Noblegarden, but we also have the return of the Blazing Hippogryph and Dreadwake mounts as well as a shark hat!

Sony's big PS Plus Extra update is scheduled to take place tomorrow, but as 13 PS5, PS4 and Classic titles arrive, seven will be going the other way. As communicated in the service's Last Chance to Play section on PS5, some games will be removed for members, and you'll need to buy them if you want to keep playing. March's update, which consists of 13 titles across the two tiers, has everything from sports sim NBA 2K24 to ultra-niche Super Neptunia RPG.

One of Bungie’s defining first-person shooter projects is coming to Steam in the form of Classic Marathon.

The Pokémon TCG Classic box is the best way to experience the game in its original glory, and it’s currently discounted to its lowest price yet at Target. There’s something in the gaming waters right now in terms of remaking classic games. While 2024’s Alone in the Dark isn’t the first remake of the seminal 1992 game that inspired the survival horror genre, it’s by far the most high profile. The protagonists Detective Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood bear the likenesses and voices of actors David Harbour and Jodie Comer respectively, adding a distinct Hollywood flavor to this game that feels like it should be an HBO series.

With the new Plunderstorm event coming in Patch 10.2.6, both Modern and Classic WoW players are able to participate on the limited-time event for rewards. We've compiled a list of currently known rewards for the event, as well as how to obtain them! Blizzard detailed the reward structure for the Pluderstorm event on the Wowcast video covering the event — The rewards will come from a new renown faction called the Keg Leg's Crew. There will be 40 Renown levels worth of rewards, with Renown levels being acquired in a fast rate.

World of Warcraft has been a pioneer when it comes to open-world online multiplayer, and yet, the game has kind of missed out one of the big recent trends in that space – battle royale. Well, apparently that changes now, as Blizzard has announced World of Warcraft “Plunderstorm,” a new pirate-themed 60-player battle royale limited-time activity. SNK’s library of fighting franchises tend bleed into each other a bit, but back in the day, the company was best-known for the Fatal Fury series. Eventually, the King of Fighters series, which included characters from multiple SNK games, largely supplanted Fatal Fury, but now we’re getting a Furious return. While they teased it previously, today SNK officially announced Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, which will combine classic gameplay with the new “REV” system. Much like Street Fighter 6, the new Fatal Fury will also introduce a more casual “Smart Style” mode that will allow you to easily pull off special moves. While it works on a fix, it thanks players for their overwhelming support and feedback - even while the game falls to "Overwhelmingly Negative" reviews on Steam.

Rockstar has done something interesting that has gamers wondering just what they might be up to.
