BlizzCon will be back as an in-person event in just a few weeks, on November 3-4th, and Blizzard has announced a new digital goodies package, the BlizzCon Collection. 

Diablo games are perfect for the Halloween season, and Diablo Immortal is here to set the stage for some even greater hauntings. The latest update will begin the Hallow’s Wake event, add new cosmetics, balance changes, events, and the ability to replay dungeons.

As we stroll, slowly but surely, into spooky season, Diablo 4 is beginning a new season of its own. Following on from the Season of the Malignant, the Season of Blood is coming on October 17, bringing with it a veritable banquet of new content and new mechanics for the game.  Diablo 4 pulled back the curtain on the vampiric scourge that will descend upon Sanctuary on October 17th in Season 2. Blizzard will also release Diablo 4 on Steam the same day.

One of the major controversies of Overwatch 2 was how players would have to go about unlocking new heroes. Players who remember the first iteration of Overwatch will fondly think back of the days when heroes were available to play immediately after release, for free, too. But with a new battle pass systems, players can still unlock all of the new heroes for free, they just need to jump through some extra hoops. Fortunately, Blizzard is giving players another avenue of unlocking new heroes, according to an article from Forbes.

With the news of the upcoming Season 7 dropping for Overwatch 2, there are some hints as to what’s coming in the Season after that one. Overwatch 2 fans online speculate that Mauga is going to be the next Tank hero coming to Season 8. This is due to the latest map Samoa leaving hints to the next new hero.

There are many changes with the upcoming launch of Overwatch 2 Season 7, one of them being Sombra’s ability kit getting completely reworked. Blizzard implemented these changes to balance her kit, but how balanced is it really? There’s all new information on her new kit coming to Season 7 in a new Blizzard blog post.

This past week, Blizzard revealed Chris Metzen has taken on a more formal role as Executive Creative Director of the Warcraft universe. First, I hope he has taken some time to learn how to notice the warning signs of bad behavior so he can help prevent further harm to the devs working on the various games we love. In his statement after the news about it all broke, and so many people broke their silence, he indicated that he wanted to do better in the future. This is his chance to really be present and there for everyone. Secondly, there are a few fascinating tidbits in this announcement that piqued my interest. Maybe I’m just getting hyped for Blizzcon, but I wanted to delve further into some of this statement.

Season 7 of Overwatch 2 is incoming on October 10, and like every new Overwatch season, comes with a huge content drop for players to enjoy. Fitting for Halloween, Overwatch 2 has a spooky “Rise of Darkness” theme, a gothic and twisted theme accompanied by a returning PvE mode, new skins (including a collaboration with Diablo 4 — hello, Lilith Moira), and a brand new map named Samoa which seems to be the origin point for a highly teased and potentially playable character.

BlizzCon’s return to an in-person event is coming in early November, but if you haven’t gotten your hands on tickets yet, tomorrow is your last chance. Not only is a new block of tickets going on sale, Blizzard has released the first peek at what we can expect at the event.

With the Season of Blood coming October 17th, the Diablo 4 team has set a date for their next Campfire Chat livestream to talk about the season and upcoming improvements.

I’ve often struggled with playing Classic World of Warcraft and the two expansions they’ve done for it because although it’s nice to return and remember how things used to be, I’ve already done it all. I can’t really get excited about clearing Molten Core and killing the Lich King since I know what I’d need to do those things, and I can’t get into doing it all again. I figured it’d be the same with Classic Hardcore , and maybe worse since the threat of permanent death is always around every corner. However, I’m enjoying it a whole lot more than I expected.

Diablo 4 fans don’t have to wait too long until Season 2 releases in October. Luckily, at Gamescom 2023, Blizzard announced that vampiric powers are coming to Diablo 4 Season of Blood. The second Season of the beloved action RPG will introduce vampires and vampire hunters. Although it was a short trailer, we got a decent glimpse of what the new questline will center around.

Blizzard took to the stage during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 to unveil the next season for action RPG Diablo 4. Titled Season of Blood, season 2 of Diablo 4 has a trailer that you can check out below.

Diablo Immortal’s 17th Season is coming with the new update, which also adds dozens of new Legendary items, a new Battle Pass, atweaked Conqueror PvP event, and the arrival of Training Grounds.  

Overwatch is one of the most successful video game releases in the past decade. Overwatch 2’s latest season, Invasion, is now live and marks the title’s exit from “early access” (Blizzard’s words, not mine). With the launch of the new season of Overwatch 2 bringing with it a new PvE game mode, Blizzard has stated that the game has now officially exited its early access phase. According to IGN, executive producer Jared Neuss declared Overwatch 2 to now be a “full” live service game with the launch of Season 6: Invasion.

Along the release of Season 1 for Diablo 4 came brand new updates with a slew of criticisms. While certain classes got heavy buffs, Blizzard left others astray like Barbarians and Sorcerers. This disappointed many Diablo 4 fans, but Blizzard intended to listen. In the Diablo 4 patch 1.1.1 released on August 8, Barbarians and Sorcerers are saved thanks to some generous buffs.

Mage’s Solid Alibi and Rogue’s Lab Constructor have both been hit with the nerf hammer, alongside some minor bug fixes and changes, in one of the speediest patches we’ve seen yet. As the first season of Diablo 4 goes underway, players have already found some issues. Diablo IV's much-awaited season 1 update is almost upon us and ahead of that, Blizzard has rolled out a new patch for preparation. The hefty 8GB patch 1.1.0a brings a range of balance changes, fixes some bugs, and adds unique items, in addition to making permanent upgrades such as Altars of Lilith unlocks available account-wide when starting as a new character. For the uninitiated, ‘Season of the Malignant' is set after the events of the main campaign, once you've defeated Lilith and unravelled the Tree of Whispers. Blizzard games will be coming to Steam, starting with Overwatch 2 on 10th August, giving PC gamers an option outside of Battle.net for where they buy and play their Blizzard games.

Blizzard is bringing a selection of its PC games over to Steam, starting with Overwatch 2. The free-to-play team-based shooter is headed to Valve's gaming client on August 10, in what appears to be a change in Blizzard's strategy due to its impending acquisition by Microsoft and the low player engagement the game has garnered in recent times. The Windows PC version of Overwatch 2 and other games from the publisher is largely restricted to its Battle.net launcher — a hot topic for most PC gamers, who prefer having all their games on one platform and hate having to juggle between them. The Steam version will also include the niceties of unlockable achievements and cross-platform multiplayer.
