This week, Diablo Immortal’ s new update brings a new PvP event, Wild Brawl, brings back other events, and adds a way to get more of the Legendary Gems that you need. This week, the PC version leaves open beta for its full launch.
Wild Brawl will become available from tomorrow, August 8th, through August 23rd. Form teams of six. All players start at level 1 and work together to explore the map and try to be the last surviving team. Since this is a PVP event, you'll have to work well with your team, discover gear as you go along, gain experience to strengthen your skills, and slay everything you can.
You will be in the arena with up to four enemy teams and everything is winner-take-all. As the match goes on, darkness will begin spreading and forcing all players into a more narrow area, intensifying the battle. The darkness is lethal, so you have to stay away from it. One of the win conditions is the last player on arrival team dying to the darkness, so it's kill or be killed in a much narrower space until there's a winner.
If your team is the last one standing, then you get the bragging rights. Perhaps a spot on the leaderboards.
One of the patch's other significant features is a new customizable Legendary Gem loot table. Lasting through August 23rd, you'll be able to enable a drop table that allows you to choose 12 5-star Legendary Gems and whenever you receive one of these gems in a drop, it will be guaranteed to be one of the 12 you picked.
There are a few other helpful changes. Among them are new rewards that you can get for assisting other players to defeat the active Helliquary boss.
One of the recent changes, which reduced the cooldown between class changes from 7 days to 24 hours, will now be permanent. There's also additional gear sets where you can hide the helmet if you want.

I have an unhealthy fascination with advergames. Well, advertising in general, but advertising has gotten so boring since we started expecting companies to tell the truth and not try to kill us too blatantly. Advertising games in general aren’t super common anymore, usually relegated to browser or mobile platforms.

Diablo Immortal is one of Blizzard’s more unique entries to its long-standing RPG game series, as it tells the previously untold story of the events that took place between Diablo 2 and 3. The free-to-play action MMO has a fair amount of content and appeals to players who enjoy PvP as well as those of us who prefer more story-related content. Diablo Immortal has just updated, implementing a brand-new PvP game mode called Wild Brawl that resembles everyone’s favorite battle royale games.
