Herald of the Sun Retribution Paladin Review
The Herald of the Sun Hero Talents are mostly based around a new effect called s. On top of s, there's a new replacement for Word of Glory,, and some passive bonuses to Divine Storm and Hammer of Wrath to cover too.
s
s are applied by using Holy Power spenders after casting Wake of Ashes, or by casting Avenging Wrath due to. Although the wording describing them is a little ambiguous, as they're described as being «created on your target» which could be interpreted as being ground effects that appear underneath your target, s seem most likely to be regular DoT debuffs since other talents refer to them as being «applied» or «extended». Since application is just tied to your major cooldowns, you should expect to have s active during your burst windows but not during your regular rotation. This should work nicely with to give you some extra Haste for your cooldown window, along with to buff your spender damage for Execution Sentence or Final Reckoning. You can effectively apply s to 6 targets during Avenging Wrath, 4 from and 2 from Wake of Ashes, which will also all radiate some of their own damage as AoE damage and create beams that deal damage too. Since they can also be applied to friendly targets, you probably won't lose value from effects like on single target
