Season 2 of includes a new set of abilities you can unlock called Vampiric Powers, which includes the Metamorphosis skill that can transform your character during a fight. Blizzard has just announced the PTR for Diablo 3's Patch 2.7.7 which includes the Rites of Sanctuary and Visions of Enmity Season themes being permanently added to the game, class balance changes, and more. Tied to the story adventures emphasized in Season 2, you must complete several quests before getting this new addition to your Paragon Board. As of this time of writing, the Glyph becomes available on December 5th for anyone to collect in the blood-soaked areas of Sanctuary.

One of the new endgame bosses for Season 2 of is the Echo of Varshan, an undead entity you have to summon by sacrificing the right items in the game's highest World Tier. By combining a Malignant Heart with three body parts, you can initiate the ritual to call upon this boss. Only the strongest characters that you've created that have a high enough level will be able to challenge the Echo of Varshan.

Since Season of Blood began, we have known its end date from several in-game reminders and tooltips. However, at BlizzCon, Blizzard shared a screenshot that appeared to be from an internal build, which showed a slightly different Season 2 end date.
