Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming expansion, Phantom Liberty, is going on tour. The first leg of this showcase kicked off yesterday, letting fans in Warsaw try out the new story ahead of its launch. And as early murmurings suggested, it's far more expansive than what you'd usually expect for a story DLC.
From what we're hearing from fans over on social media, these changes add up to create a world that's far more "alive" than the base game's Night City. From AI changes, increased difficulty, and more going on in the new setting of Dogtown, fans love what they've seen so far, hopefully meaning we're in for a much stronger launch than what we got in 2020.

Over on the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit, fans attending the first part of the Phantom Liberty tour are sharing what they experienced in their one-hour preview, and it's all very positive so far.
Reddit user sherlotka-2137 is one of these fans, and one of the first questions they were asked was whether Phantom Liberty feels more "alive" than the base game.
"Definitely," replies sherlotka-2137. "I'm sad that we only got to play for one hour, wanted to hear NPCs talk and check all the dialogue options with vendors."
They were also asked how the game feels to play. "Definitely enhanced. Skill tree looks totally different, same with the interface and the whole gameplay to be honest. I liked it a lot, but I think it may take some time to get used to."
Another player, b_krasowicz, shared their thoughts on Instagram, and it aligns with sherlotka-2137's impression of the game.
"Dogtown looks amazing," says b_krasowicz. "It seems quite extensive, has its unique atmosphere, and feels alive.
"Story-wise, A LOT happens. The beginning of the game is action-packed and full of combat. You sit on the edge of your seat, focusing on skillfully eliminating enemies while wanting to know what comes next."
On the more technical side of things, fans share that there's a new "relic" category on the skill tree. This is the device that uploads Johnny Silverhand into V's brain, slowly taking over their body. Its inclusion in Phantom Liberty isn't too surprising, as there's been an unusable "relic" option on the stat screen for well over two years now. Fans had long wondered what this could mean, with some even saving their stat points, believing the Relic would be unlocked further down the line. That never came to pass, but it seems like the DLC will finally change that.
Phantom Liberty launches on September 26. It will only be available to those that have the base game on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
