Cedric's post then went on to discuss the main changes that players will notice when booting up their game following the patch, which will impact the human characters in the game. Studio Wildcard has improved the pipeline for human characters by removing redundant assets and simplifying the process of making character animations and assets for modders, content creators, and 's developers.
Visually, players may notice female characters having changed proportions following the patch.
The studio has also implemented new functionality on the Scissors tool, which players can normally use to cut their hair or shear wool from Ovis, both of which can then be used for crafting. Following the update, using the scissors lets players adjust their character's appearance at any time, including bone modifications. It's worth noting that there are still some known issues raised by the community that are not being addressed in this patch, such as animation issues for certain emotes or whistling. Cedric has stated that these are being worked on by the developers and will hopefully get resolved in another patch over the coming weeks or with the full release of .
A new Devkit update has also been released on the Studio Wildcard website which will let content creators make changes to their assets to support the new character models.
