With the clock clicking down to the launch of Forza Motorsport about a month and a half from now, Turn 10 Studios has revealed several tracks that will be featured in the racing sim over recent weeks, including the likes of Road America, Maple Valley Raceway, Suzuka Circuit, Nürburgring GP, and a new introduction in Grand Oak Raceway. Now, a couple more tracks have been revealed for the game.

When I saw Forza Motorsport at Summer of Gaming a couple of months ago, I came away a little disappointed. Forza’s pedigree of having some of the most gorgeous visuals of any racing game is well known, and while the latest iteration of Motorsport undoubtedly looked good, it lacked polish at the time. So as a long-time Forza fan I’m pleased to say that Turn 10 has done a lot of work and after a behind-closed-doors demo at gamescom showing the game on the Xbox Series X, I walked away happy. Forza is definitely on track.

Back in January, Turn 10 presented us with the traditional listing of the Granular Technical Advancements™ coming in Forza Motorsport. It was an impressive rundown of things like «a fully procedural cloud system,» car paint «sourced using a spectrophotometer» which frankly sounds like a gizmo that gets wheeled out during one of those silly ghost-hunting shows, and the pièce de résistance, «hardware accelerated convolution reverb [that] accurately reproduces how sounds in Forza interact within an acoustic space.»

Forza Motorsport will feature 20 tracks at launch, a number of which have been revealed by developer Turn 10 Studios in the lead up to the racing sim’s launch, from returning favourites like Road America, Maple Valley Raceway, and Suzuka Circuit, to new introductions like the Grand Oak Raceway.

True to the traditions of the franchise, the upcoming Forza Motorsport is once again looking to push the envelope with its visual and technical achievements, which is why it comes as no surprise that the system requirements for its PC version are quite steep, even if you choose to play on the lowest settings.

Today, Turn 10 announced the official PC specifications for its upcoming racing simulation game Forza Motorsport, due for release on October 10th (though just like Starfield, it is playable five days in advance for those who pre-purchase the Premium Edition).

As Forza Motorsport’s launch continues to draw closer, developer Turn 10 Studios is keeping up a consistence cadence of reveals for the tracks that will be featured in the racing sim upon release, from new additions like Grand Oak Raceway to returning favourites like Road America and Maple Valley Raceway. Now, another track in the latter group has been revealed.

Five of the 20 tracks that Forza Motorsport will launch with in October are going to be completely new – like the recently revealed Grand Oak Raceway – but plenty, of course, are going to be familiar to fans of the series. Returning favourites like Road America have been previously revealed, and developer Turn 10 Studios has now added another name to that list.

Forza Motorsport has a new short trailer, with this one showing off one of the tracks. The track revealed in this new trailer is Grand Oak Raceway. The raceway has a few long straights, broken up by curves where driving skills will be tested. The trailer shows driving in wet and raining conditions, with the car skidding and drifting a bit as it goes through the curve.

Players hoping to hop into with a friend by their side on launch day will have to rethink their plans. Developer Turn 10 has announced that its upcoming racing title won’t support split-screen play at launch when it comes to PC and Xbox Series X|S on October 10.

Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport won’t have split-screen multiplayer at launch, but the online multiplayer will receive several new features. The developer outlined several of these in a recent blog post, like Featured Multiplayer. Described as a “live, real-world time-based mode of pre-defined live events,” it offers scheduled races with real-world times.

With Gamescom 2023 drawing closer, Microsoft has revealed full details on what fans can expect from Xbox at the event. The company says Gamescom 2023 is set have Xbox’s largest ever presence in the event’s history, with the company’s lineup including over 30 games (39, to be precise) and featuring a number of upcoming first party, third party, and indie releases. Many of these details were, of course, recently accurately leaked as well.

Xbox is one of several big-name publishers confirmed for Gamescom alongside Bethesda, Nintendo and Bandai Namco. Microsoft promised one of its biggest booths, and sources told Insider Gaming that the company is going “all out.” It will reportedly have playable demos for upcoming releases Forza Motorsport, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and Towerborne.

That the upcoming Forza Motorsport will be a visual stunner has never really been in doubt – that’s an area where the racing series has consistently been an industry leader with each new instalment, after all – and it’s continued to cement that notion further each time it’s been showed off. In a couple of newly leaked screenshots, that continues to be the case.
