While you’re out and about you’ll find plenty of interesting, cute and powerful 'Mons to catch while playing Pokémon Go — but Ditto is one of the most elusive.
Pokémon GO is gearing up to celebrate the season of love! The Carnival of Love event is back in the game with some rare adorable mon for you. So, trainers everywhere, get ready to join in on this Valentine’s Day bash, the Pokémon GO Carnival of Love!
Game developers aren't buying that several Pokemon and Palworld creatures look alike by mere coincidence.
Only three days after Palworld launched, which fans have been calling 'Pokemon with guns' since it was announced anyway, someone made a mod that turned the player into Ash Ketchum and Pals into 'mons. But less than a day later, it has already been taken down by Nintendo.
Nintendo is seemingly filing takedown requests against Pokemon mods for Palworld.
Palworld is definitely one of your more adult Pokemon-esque titles. If that wasn't made clear by all the murder, rocket launchers, and machine guns, then it's made even more apparent when you actually take a look at the Paldex, the game's PokeDex equivalent that gives you a little bit of info about the Pal that you've just caught or seen.
Pokemon kicked off what appears to be a big year on the Funko Pop! front for the franchise by teasing the addition of six new figures. Only one of the Pops had a silhouette in the promo image with the other five plinths left empty, and since many of us were raised on playing Who's That Pokemon in the ad breaks, it didn't take long to figure out the first of the six is Lucario. Likely Pearlescent Lucario since the Pokemon already has its own regular Pop, a first proper look at the new figure has now been revealed.
A lot of Pokemon have already been turned into Funko Pop! figures, but with more than 1,000 'mons created, and more being added all the time, it seems likely Funko will never catch up. Especially if it wants to give every Pokemon Pop! a pearlescent and flocked variant. Considering how much trainers like shiny hunting, I'd imagine there's probably quite a lot of demand for that. Just regular Pops will do for now, and Sobble has officially joined the Funko party.
Pokemon has been around long enough and become a big enough deal during that time that the franchise has officially paired up with just about everything. Particularly food and drink these past few years as The Pokemon Company has teamed up with McDonald's to put Pokemon cards in Happy Meals, and Krispy Kreme to put Charmander's face on a doughnut. Now Pokemon is letting fans put various other 'mons on baked goods via the launch of an official Pokemon baking cookbook.
Squishmallows are incredibly popular right now, and the officially licensed Pokemon squishmallows are the most popular of all. There aren't all that many Pokemon squishmallows available so far. The collection launched with four Pokemon to choose from, and two more went up for pre-order, and likely sold out almost immediately, not too long ago. Pokemon isn't hanging around though and has already announced which two 'mons will be getting the squishmallow treatment next.
Ahsoka has brought plenty of Star Wars characters from animation to live-action already, and the latest episode has continued the trend.
Pokemon fans will no doubt be aware that when it comes to the backstories of Ghost types, Game Freak goes pretty hard. Never mind that Pokemon is a series primarily aimed at kids, Drifloon is going to steal children and Banette is an abandoned doll with nothing but revenge in its head. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is no exception, but newly revealed 'mon Poltchageist definitely takes the award for the game's most messed up critter to date.
With new DLC comes new Pokemon. However, in this specific case, it seems we won’t be seeing any new type combos. While ghost types certainly are interesting, especially from a story perspective, the balance of dual types variety is constantly in flux with each new generation. Now it seems we have a bit of a surplus with this latest reveal: Poltchageist.
This week we say goodbye to one of our own, a myth, a legend: Riverdale is finally ending its legendary run after seven seasons. Riverdale went out like it lived: as a show few could comprehend while always being true to itself to the very end.
The Pokemon TCG’s fourth Scarlet & Violet set has been officially revealed. Paradox Rift, as the name suggests, will finally bring the time-travelling Paradox Pokemon to the trading card game for the first time, over a year after their video game debut.
Pokémon World Championships disqualifies several players for using hacked Pokémon during games.
Several Pokémon players were disqualified from the Pokémon World Championships over the weekend for using hacked Pokémon.
This year's Pokémon World Championship tournament saw organisers disqualify multiple pros using hacked Pokémon teams, sparking debate across the community.
Pokemon Go fans will be getting a taste of Paldea pretty soon, as it was announced during the most recent Pokemon Presents showcase that Gen 9 Pokemon will be added to Pokemon Go next month. Unfortunately, a release date for the Paldean 'mons wasn't announced at the same time, though we can probably expect some news on that front in the coming weeks given that September isn't too far away.
There is no franchise that does synergy quite like Pokemon. Shortly after you're introduced to a new generation of Pokemon via the latest games, those same Pokemon will begin to appear on other branches of the Pokemon tree. Whether it's in the TV show, as trading cards, or best of all, as plushes. Since Koraidon and Miraidon are the Pokemon on the covers of Scarlet & Violet, they were among the first from the newest generation of the games to get the plush treatment.
Anakin Skywalker is seemingly back in Ahsoka – if you believe this official Amazon listing, anyway.
Of the many details worth returning to in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, one of the most striking comes only after learning how the film was made. In what might be the movie’s most harrowing scene, J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) delivers a victory speech to the assembled scientists of the Manhattan Project after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. While Oppenheimer gives a jingoistic speech to rapturous applause, Nolan depicts the physicist to be in internal anguish, as visions of destruction warp his perception of the event.
Brambleghast is a pretty lousy Pokemon. Sure, it'll get you through Scarlet & Violet's story campaign with very few issues, but it's barely used in the competitive scene. This is primarily down to its stats, as not only is Brambleghast as frail as an actual tumbleweed, but it's also not very strong, has a pretty bad movepool, and is fairly slow too. It's outclassed by dozens of other Pokemon that can fill the same role, but the recent integration of Pokemon Home could have given it a new lease on life.
