Late last evening it was sadly announced that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama had passed away. He was 68. Dragon Ball fans across the globe are currently in mourning, as it's been announced that legendary manga creator Akira Toriyama has passed away at just age 68. According to an official post via the Dragon Ball Twitter account, Toriyama passed away on March 1 earlier this month due to "acute subdural hematoma". It was also explained that a funeral service was held with close family earlier this week, and that flowers and gifts will not be accepted at this time out of respect for Toriyama's family.
