Sounds Like PS5's Stellar Blade Will Be Playing Dress Up Long After Launch | Push Square

Stellar Blade's demo is returning to PS5 after it was added and then quickly removed from the PS store earlier this month. It seems that the initial release of the demo was accidental. This time, it's been officially announced by Sony, rather than shadowdropped without any fanfare.

Rarely a day passes without a deluge of discounts on the PS Store these days, and another 50 or so offers have been unloaded on to the storefront ahead of the weekend. Dragon’s Dogma 2, by all accounts a sensational RPG, is getting obliterated for adding microtransactions on launch day. These, we must stress, were unavailable to purchase during the review period but were mentioned in a media guide; they’ve since been made available for sale on the release’s launch day. Already it’s prompted a cavalcade of negativity on Steam, where the otherwise critically acclaimed escapade carries a ‘Mostly Negative’ review rating.

The surprisingly well-received TV adaptation of Twisted Metal has only been (officially) watchable in the USA for about eight months. That's changing from today, though, as the action comedy is now available to stream in the UK.

Pentiment developer Obsidian Entertainment has pushed out a new PS5, PS4 update for the historical title that fixes its comically blunt Platinum Trophy name. Formerly named just «PlatinumTrophy», unlocking the final reward will now grant you a gong called «Historia Tassiae». Patch 1.3 also tweaks the PS5, PS4 home screen icon from a close-up of Andreas' face to the black and orange key art.

Update: Here we are, then: the inevitable apology tour. Aspyr has issued an update on its disastrous Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection launch, which can be purchased full-price on PS5 and PS4 right now. «At launch, we experienced critical errors with our network infrastructure,» a statement reads. «The result was incredibly high ping, matchmaking errors, crashes, and servers not appearing in the browser.»

Atlus has now confirmed you will need to buy pieces of content you probably don't want if you wish to play the Episode Aigis DLC for Persona 3 Reload, as the expansion is locked behind the £28.99 / $34.99 Expansion Pass. It won't be up for purchase separately, with a PR representative telling Push Square «the three parts of the Expansion Pass will not be available separately, and only available as part of the full pass».

Honkai: Star Rail’s gigantic v2.1 update will arrive on 27th March, and will celebrate the release’s first anniversary with 20 free Star Rail Passes and a further 1,600 in-game currency Stellar Jade – an announcement which is fuelling division between HoYoverse’s fandom. It’ll also continue the plot of Penacony, introduce an all-new VA-11 HALL-A inspired drink mixing minigame, and welcome the unmissable Acheron as a playable character.

It feels like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake has been frozen in carbonite forever. And yet, somehow, the unfortunate project is still quite a while away from being ready for launch. Announced in 2021 with Aspyr at the helm, the project has been in Saber Interactive's hands since at least August 2022, with that company recently managing to escape the imploding Embracer Group's clutches in a deal reportedly worth $500 million.

RPG Maker is a franchise that's largely steered clear of PlayStation consoles, but that trend is set to change with the release of RPG Maker WITH. Published by NIS America, it's headed to PC and Switch at some point in the autumn / fall, while PS5 and PS4 versions are locked in for 2025.
