Finally, there's a minor break in the busy release schedule. But don't worry! Rise of the Ronin and Dragon's Dogma 2 will both release later this month. You are on top of your backlog, aren't you?
While I continue on my Sekiro playthrough, my main title of the weekend will be The Finals, which just launched its second season. With a new mode to try out and an incredibly drippy battle pass to work through, I can't wait to get stuck in.
I'm still working my way through Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and I'm also playing something I can't talk about right now. Exciting times!
Playing the Top Racer Collection recently has encouraged me to return to Ansdor's moreish modern retro racer, Slipstream, which released in 2022 — not that I need much encouragement!
I'm managing an alchemy shop in the latest Genshin Impact update. I'm aware my comments in these articles have gotten stale lately, but it's all gacha all the time on my console.
Those are the games keeping us busy this weekend, then, but what about the rest of you? You know the drill: let us know in the comments section below.
As the Editor of Push Square, Sammy has over 15 years of experience analysing the world of PlayStation, from PS3 through PS5 and everything in between. He’s an expert on PS Studios and industry matters, as well as sports games and simulators. He also enjoys RPGs when he has the time to dedicate to them, and is a bit of a gacha whale.
After the amazing Resident Evil 2 it is time for Resident Evil 3 Nemesis to be conquered!
I will also die many times in Castlevania Rondo of Blood!
And inspired by Dune Part II, I will play Dune II Battle for Arrakis!
Happy gaming everyone!
Giving Need for Speed Unbound a go for a bit of knockabout fun, but beyond that, not playing much. Need something to grab me.
FF VII Rebirth officially has its hooks in me. And I'm only in Chapter 2. Can't wait to see where it goes.
Hogwarts Legacy: Never did I imagine being able to roam through a fully realized Hogwarts, learning spells like Diffindo or Alohomora, riding broomsticks, or getting messed with by Peeves, but here I am.
Finding the Room of Requirement, battling trolls and goblins, sneaking into locked rooms and exploring Hogsmeade… it's all excellent, and all heightened by incredibly crisp visuals. If you're a Harry Potter fan, you owe it to yourself to check out this game.
I don't say this lightly: this is a can't miss opportunity.
Finished RE4 and Separate Ways (very different, but still good, to what I remember). I’m 50 hours in on Pacific Drive and loving it. The sound design is fantastic, lightning, raindrops on the roof, the way the dialog sounds inside the car. I want to get back to LotF but it will have to wait a bit.
Have a great weekend folks!
