Amazon has revealed the next batch of ‘free’ games set to be offered to Prime members.

The experimental narrative title 1000xRESIST finally has a release date. The debut game from Sunset Visitor, a team comprised of mostly Asian-diaspora creators from non-gaming backgrounds in dance, music, film, and visual arts, is set to come to PC and Nintendo Switch on May 9.

Now, according to the consistently accurate dataminer billbil-kun, Hammerting will be the next offering from the popular storefront, apparently being free to claim for 72 hours starting March 29 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.

I'm always surprised that Alpha Protocol hasn't reached serious cult classic status because, as much as parts are distinctly wonky, the globetrotting sneak-o-shooter fizzes with ideas for intense dialogue, branching plot, and reputation systems with consequences. You do feel like a spy going up against the world, backed up only by shifty allies and a ridiculous pair of giant sunglasses.

There are many 2D platformers on the market today, but few stand out quite like Super Catboy. The name alone is memorable and the concept of having a mutated, combo-punching, minecart-riding cat as a playable character adds to its charm. Catboy himself feels like something right out of the 16-bit era and he’s joined by his sidekick Weapongirl who enjoys guns while he prefers fisticuffs. The platforming action has a very tight feel to it with the combat being snappy as well.
