GOG has updated its Winter Sale with another free game

There once was a time when video game adaptations were something not to look forward to, as they were rarely, if ever, given the quality and respect they deserve. For every film that turned out to be good, or at least decent, there were plenty that weren’t. Animated projects were often better, especially ones with Sonic the Hedgehog and friends, but many franchises didn’t dare test these waters. But then, the team at Riot Games decided to do things their own way and make a series dedicated to their games’ champions, and now, Arcane Season 2 has gotten its first teaser, and it’s a doozy.

Despite the shutdown of the beloved superhero MMO City of Heroes over a decade ago, fans have been keeping it alive for years with a variety of custom server efforts. Now, one of those projects has just gotten the blessing of the game's original publisher and license holder, NCSoft.

Steam has unveiled the winners of its annual fan-voted awards. Headlining the categories is the Game of the Year award, which predictably went to Baldur’s Gate 3. The RPG was up against Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC 24, Resident Evil 4, and Lethal Company. Baldur’s Gate 3 also managed to walk away with the Outstanding Story-Rich Game award, where it was in competition with Lies of P, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Resident Evil 4, and Love Is All Around.

Having been originally released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and not having received a current generation update, Red Dead Redemption 2 does not support ray tracing, which is a shame, as it would make the game look even more incredible than it already does.

Unlike Steam, the Epic Games Store has a hard-and-fast rule against adult content.
