The latest bundle of games coming to the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium game libraries have been revealed, and it’s time to pull on some body-shaping spandex with superheroes, supervillains and plenty more besides! All of the following games will be available from 19th March 2024.
The pick of the bunch is really Marvel’s Midnight Suns, with Firaxis’ outstanding turn-based tactical battling from the XCOM series smashed into a dark Marvel comic book world. It’s really, really very good – just see our review! – and was one of the very best games of 2022.
That’s twinned with the more slapstick antics of LEGO DC Supervillains, while sports fans have NBA 2K24 and Blood Bowl 3 to choose between, and there’s Resident Evil 3 for those who love Capcom’s recent run with this horror genre staple.
Over on PS Plus Premium you’ve also got the Classics game library. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is a fine platformer, Cool Boarders a grand sports game, and God Eater Burst is a remaster of the PSP classic. There’s always the fantastic Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, as well.
As a nice bonus, PS Plus Premium members also have access to Sony Pictures Core, which from 1st April will include My Hero Academia Season 1. Sony Pictures Core is also expanding to include select Crunchroll series from today, across Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France.
Here’s the full lineup of additions:
*The PS4 version of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is already available on PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
There’s a bonus game included in the PS Plus Monthly Games, which are included for all PS Plus subscribers, right down to the Essentials tier. These include the punchy action of Sifu, sneaky Hello Neighbour 2, speedy F1 23, and as the bonus, the Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. Head here for all the details.
The PlayStation Plus relaunch rolled out around the world in June 2022, transforming the PS Plus we once knew into a three tiered subscription service that bundles in and expands what was once PlayStation Now. The classic PS Plus is now called PS Plus Essential, giving access to online multiplayer gaming, cloud save backups, exclusive offers and at least 2 free monthly games. PS Plus Extra then adds a catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games into the mix, while PS Plus Deluxe and Premium (depending on your region) adds older PS2, PS1 and PSP game emulation, and game streaming for PS3 and other titles.
