Primary Stat Increasing Augment Runes Return in The War Within

In our datamining of The War Within Alpha, we've discovered that our Faithful Dog has made their way to Khaz Algar, becoming a full-fledged companion, so that players will never again have to leave their pet behind!

As part of the Riders of the Apocalypse Hero Talents, Death Knights can summon The Four Horsemen to aid them and these elite heralds of death have received new Mawsworn Chargers that they'll ride into combat. The War Within Hero Talents Overview

In any new expansion, players rush into new zones, looking for new secrets, new quests, and new enemies to defeat. Learning to get around these new zones is always important for efficient exploration — and in The War Within, players are rewarded for being thorough with an increase in Flight Path travel speed! Players who complete the Khaz Algar Flight Master achievement will be able to increase the speed of Flight Paths in Khaz Algar for their entire Warband.

Gotta go fast? Speed fiends might be interested to discover that there's a new bag in The War Within Alpha that increases movement speed in outdoor areas of Khaz Algar! While increasing outdoor movement speed in a specific area of the expansion isn't a particularly important bonus, Arathor Courier's Satchel stands out as the first of its kind — no other bag in WoW has had this kind of statistical effect, and it could be a test case for more varied bag bonuses going forward. Although it is unlikely that we'll see universal combat enhancements like increased strength, critical strike chance, or damage procs, there are a number of other minor supplementary effects or effects that only work in specific areas of the game, like an excavators satchel increasing capabilities in Delves.

Players are diving into new Enchants coming with The War Within, and we're highlighting some of the most anticipated: the Weapon Enchants! This new batch of Weapon Enchantments seems to aim for an overall simpler tone than some of those from Dragonflight, such as Enchant Weapon — Spore Tender or Enchant Weapon — Shadowflame Wreathe. While focusing mainly on increasing Secondary stats such as Haste or Critical Strike, a few standout Enchantments such as Enchant Weapon — Authority of the Depths still maintain unique effects that are sure to create interesting interactions in theorycrafting and simming for many players.

In The War Within, Engineers will be able to craft Potion Bombs, powerful external potion buffs that augment small groups of players within range. These Potion Bombs currently come in three different types: DPS, Movement Speed, and Healing. Using a Potion Bomb is simple — use it as you would any other consumable, choose your target area, and buff your allies while damaging enemies caught in the radius. While Engineers are the only ones able to produce these new support consumables, anyone — even non-Engineers — can use them to help their group.
