The First Special Effect Bags Coming in The War Within

Profession bags will be in high demand in The War Within — each new bag comes with a special effect, such as increasing reagent gain or decreasing cooldowns! Tailors will have a new bag full of tricks once they learn these new recipes, and every profession will want to obtain one of these new bags. Each is Unique-Equipped, so unfortunately you can't double up on effects, but you can equip two different profession bags at the same time — you won't have to choose which of your professions you find more important!

After some additional sleuthing In the latest Alpha build, we've datamined an updated preview of the Rogue Tier Set appearances coming in Season 1 of The War Within including additional effects and an extra color option. No new expansion is complete without professions — and The War Within is bringing some new twists to our favorites! We've taken a look at Cooking on the Alpha, and while not everything has been implemented yet, we've gotten a sneak peek at some fun new recipes to cook for you and your friends. One particularly interesting mechanic to note is the introduction of Hearty Meals — these meals are unlike any previous food we've seen before, because they seem to be linked to your Warband and can persist through death. Any meal can be a Hearty Meal — we've found Hearty variants in our datamining for everything from Hearty Roasted Mycobloom to Hearty Feast of the Midnight Masquerade. Take a look at some of the recipes and placeholders we've datamined so far below. While some recipes seem to be working, others clearly need more time in the oven — we'll have updates soon with more information!

The upcoming World of Warcraft expansion is introducing an inventory bag with an attribute bonus, opening up the possibility that future bags will offer different buffs and special effects to player characters when equipped. While World of Warcraft has enjoyed newfound popularity with its Season of Discovery on the Classic servers, the Retail version of the game is at a major crossroads. With Dragonflight coming to a close, the Worldsoul Saga is expected to commence with the launch of The War Within before the end of 2024.

Players are diving into new Enchants coming with The War Within, and we're highlighting some of the most anticipated: the Weapon Enchants! This new batch of Weapon Enchantments seems to aim for an overall simpler tone than some of those from Dragonflight, such as Enchant Weapon — Spore Tender or Enchant Weapon — Shadowflame Wreathe. While focusing mainly on increasing Secondary stats such as Haste or Critical Strike, a few standout Enchantments such as Enchant Weapon — Authority of the Depths still maintain unique effects that are sure to create interesting interactions in theorycrafting and simming for many players.
