Your car can run out of fuel quicker than you expect in , so you'll want to siphon gas from wherever you can to refill your tank. Making sure your vehicle isn't empty is crucial, especially if you want to reach new locations. It's not hard to find gas from different sources, but it isn't clear how you can transfer another car's fuel into your own.

The lack of any big, swanky first-party exclusives for PS5 for the foreseeable future might be a concern for some, but the console is still set to receive plenty of notable exclusives over the coming months, several of which are coming from third-party developers. Pacific Drive is one such game. Ironwood Studios’ Pacific Drive is a road trip game about taking a drive through a disintegrating, irradiated reality; it’s as if American Truck Simulator was set in a lonely, survivalist version of Fallout. Transported — either accidentally or on purpose, it’s not clear — into the Olympic Exclusion Zone somewhere among the wooded slopes of the Pacific Northwest, the nameless player character must pilot a dilapidated station wagon deeper into this territory, where gravity and matter obey their own rules.

is one of the newest additions to the overloaded survival-crafting genre of games. Many of the games in this genre offer the same thing; little-to-no story and characters who begin with nothing but the ability to ravage the land of all its resources, eventually building an impenetrable shelter to protect themselves from a random threat the world provides. With so many cookie-cutter games being released, it's incredibly nice to sit down and enjoy a story-focused survival game like .

I don't drive myself, and while that's mostly because I can't afford a car, don't really need one for work and have wibbly environmentalist sensibilities, it's also because the experience of driving, for me, has been thoroughly spoiled by videogames. I mean, just look at this trailer for Ironwood's Vandemeerian vehicle survival roguelike Pacific Drive. How am I supposed to drive on some stupid road after watching that? What's the point of cars if there are no floating cryptid lifeforms, inexplicable walls of energy or lost research facilities involved?

Ironwood Studios’ first-person survival driving game Pacific Drive has been delayed. Slated to release in 2023 for PS5 and PC, it’s releasing in early 2024. In a series of tweets, the developer said this was to give it room to “make Pacific Drive the best it can be” and prioritize “the health of our team.”

Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Ironwood Studios have delayed Pacific Drive from its previously planned 2023 release window to early 2024. It will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
