It's not hard to find gas from different sources, but it isn't clear how you can transfer another car's fuel into your own.
Be mindful of when your car is close to having no gas at all since running out of fuel means stopping wherever you are. This can cause you to become stranded in dangerous areas without enough resources in 's surreal survival experience. Thankfully, the Auto Shop gas pump has unlimited fuel for you to top off your tank before venturing out into unexplored areas of your map.
To get more gas, you have to siphon fuel using the Jerry Can from broken cars or stop at gas station pumps you discover as you travel. You can siphon gas from abandoned vehicles by bringing the Can to the other car's gas tank and pressing the button that shows up. This will cause you to slowly transfer gas from that car into the Jerry Can as long as you hold down the input in .
Remember that most cars have their gas tanks located toward the back of the vehicle on either the left or right side. Once you siphon fuel from another car, make sure to refuel your own with the resources collected in the Jerry Can.
The reality-bending survival adventures you embark upon may lead you to find a gas station whose pumps you can use to refuel your car in. You might have to mark these locations on your map as you encounter them for you to return to later when you start running low on fuel.

For example, the Side Fuel Tank can be made at the Fabrication Station to give your car a larger tank for more fuel. These improvements cost some rare resources though, so you may have to siphon plenty of gas in during the early parts of the game before getting any upgrades.
