Chucky, the maniacal killer doll of the Child’s Play series, is the latest Killer to join Dead by Daylight. Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical multiplayer horror game has featured the likes of Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, and Alien’s Xenomorph as playable Killers, but none of them presented the (vertical) challenge that Chucky did. The Good Guy turned slasher presented a unique challenge for Behaviour, and he’s received an equally unique implementation.

Epic Games has admitted that the new island-based age rating system in Fortnite «didn't hit the mark,» and now it's working on something new that will hopefully make things a little more equitable for everyone.

Epic Games has promised fixes to remedy early issues with Fortnite's newly introduced age ratings system, which has left players frustrated after many popular cosmetics have become unusable in certain parts of the game in order to meet ratings requirements.

The most recent update during the Fortnite OG Season has included perplexing restrictions from Epic Games. Fortnite, a game primarily about shooting and “eliminating” other people, has implemented age restrictions on cosmetic items (skins, back blings, etc.) featuring weapons.

Yesterday, Fortnite players noticed that some of the skins in their locker had a new symbol on them – a triangle with a yellow outline and an exclamation mark inside – alongside a warning that said, «Items with the symbol can only be used in experiences rated 12+.» Players were upset with the change, which arrived out of nowhere, as it made skins they previously used on various creative islands unusable on said islands due to the new age rating restriction. Developer Epic Games has now responded, revealing that about 7% of Fortnite skins, or Outfits as they're officially called, can only be equipped in islands rated Teen.

Fortnite has begun age-restricting certain cosmetics, despite being rated 12+ by PEGI. That's because its Creative mode, which is essentially Epic Games' answer to Roblox, has a different age rating system to Save the World and Battle Royale. Map creators can individually rate their worlds, choosing to stick with Fortnite's or to go lower, so certain skins have been disabled for worlds that are rated under 12.

Dead by Daylight launched in 2016 with a cast of original killers and survivors inspired by the horror archetypes of the 80s golden age of slasher cinema. As the game quickly grew in popularity, developer Behaviour kick-started an ambitious plan to see if they could bring together horror’s most iconic villains under its umbrella, almost like what Fortnite did for pop culture, but specifically for horror.

Chucky the doll will be the next Killer added to hit multiplayer horror Dead by Daylight.

Chucky, the pint-sized killer doll from the Child’s Play franchise, is coming to Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive announced Wednesday via IGN. Joining Chucky will be his equally sadistic bride, Tiffany Valentine.

2010’s Alan Wake is now in Fortnite, as a collaboration between both Remedy and Epic Games called Alan Wake: Flashback brings a free experience to the battle royale game alongside some premium skins of the troubled writer himself.

Remedy Entertainment is releasing Alan Wake 2 next week, on October 27, and while there's still time to replay (or play for the first time) Alan Wake before its sequel is out, October is a stacked month, and time might not be on your side. Alan Wake: Flashback might help, though, as it's a new Unreal Editor for Fortnite experience that gives players the chance to relive the mysteries and events of the first Alan Wake, albeit presumably in a much shorter and more streamlined fashion.

A year has passed since David Gordon Green completed his trilogy, which began with 2018’s Halloween and culminated with 2021’s Halloween Kills and 2022’s Halloween Ends. The last time I watched the series was last October, and I was eager to give it another go to see if my opinion might have changed after the long hiatus.

Finally, the most iconic horror movie monster of all time has come to multiplayer kill-'em-up Dead By Daylight. That's right, Alien's titular alien, the humble Xenomorph, is coming to the smash-hit survival (or murder) game.

"I really think that the Nun is a classic movie monster," The Nun 2 director Michael Chaves explains in the new issue of Total Film magazine, which is out on newsstands on Thursday, July 20. "She reminds me of Pennywise and Dracula and Nosferatu. I see every classic monster when I look at her. I feel like she's absolutely up there in that pantheon."
