Fortnite’s Fortnitemares Event to Add Jack Skellington and Michael Myers to the Game

After weeks of in-game teases and more, Epic Games has officially confirmed that the next season of Fortnite will bring players back to Chapter 1. With Fortnite loading screens hiding secret dates that point to Chapter 1: Season 5 and props from that season landing on this current season's map, players have remain convinced that the next season, Chapter 4: Season 5 will actually bring everyone back to an older chapter of Fortnite; now we know it's happening. 

In a Jack Skellington fashion, Art The Clown is ditching Halloween for a bit of festive fun, as the newest poster for Terrifier 3 confirms the third installment will be a Christmas movie. 

Fortnitemares was reintroduced for 2023 with new challenges to complete, the return of the Horde Rush limited-time mode, fresh additions to the loot pool, and so much more. This season hasn’t been short on crossovers, with Khaby Lame featuring in the Chapter 4 Season 4 battle pass, Alan Wake arrived, and many more. 2010’s Alan Wake is now in Fortnite, as a collaboration between both Remedy and Epic Games called Alan Wake: Flashback brings a free experience to the battle royale game alongside some premium skins of the troubled writer himself.

Remedy Entertainment is releasing Alan Wake 2 next week, on October 27, and while there's still time to replay (or play for the first time) Alan Wake before its sequel is out, October is a stacked month, and time might not be on your side. Alan Wake: Flashback might help, though, as it's a new Unreal Editor for Fortnite experience that gives players the chance to relive the mysteries and events of the first Alan Wake, albeit presumably in a much shorter and more streamlined fashion. 

The 30th anniversary of The Nightmare Before Christmas just passed, and Halloween itself is a mere two weeks away, so is there any better time to get your hands on the Jack Skellington and Sally Squishmallows?
