Fortnite Restricts Cosmetic Items Featuring Weapons In Game Primarily About Shooting People

Fortnite’s long-awaited Chapter 5 will revamp the release’s traversal gameplay, while adding some headline new features, including a train and the ability to customise your weapon. All of this has been teased as part of a new trailer, which also shows off some previously leaked Battle Pass skins, including Solid Snake and Peter Griffin.

After the extremely successful return of OG Fortnite, Epic Games has transported players to a new and improved era of the game with the roll out of Chapter 5 Season 1.This season goes by the name of Underground and with it comes a brand new map, fresh bosses, interesting movement mechanics to master, and so much more. As always, the developers have switched up the Fortnite loot pool, introducing a new set of weapons, while placing others in the vault for a rainy day.

LEGO Fortnite is a brand new survival crafting game that is set to arrive in Fortnite on December 7, 2023, and it is the first play experience from the long term partnership between Epic Games and The LEGO Group.

Eminem's Slim Shady skin has a unique reaction to the "Real Slim Shady" emote that makes him sing along to it, making him the first character in Fortnite who can speak in-game.

Bethesda Game Studios has made it abundantly clear that it plans to keep up support for Starfield for years to come, with the sci-fi RPG having received plenty of updates (the most recent of which added DLSS support) in the aftermath of its launch, and development on DLC also underway. In fact, it seems like a vast chunk of the developer’s workforce is still focusing on working on the game above its other projects.

Epic Games has admitted that the new island-based age rating system in Fortnite «didn't hit the mark,» and now it's working on something new that will hopefully make things a little more equitable for everyone.

If there’s one thing that Fortnite has in spades, it’s the wide variety of iconic skins spanning multiple sub-cultures, celebrities, and games. However, there are skins and cosmetics that aren’t really rated for the younger crowd, and with the new age restriction, that leaves fewer options for those players.

Epic Games has promised fixes to remedy early issues with Fortnite's newly introduced age ratings system, which has left players frustrated after many popular cosmetics have become unusable in certain parts of the game in order to meet ratings requirements.

Yesterday, Fortnite players noticed that some of the skins in their locker had a new symbol on them – a triangle with a yellow outline and an exclamation mark inside – alongside a warning that said, «Items with the symbol can only be used in experiences rated 12+.» Players were upset with the change, which arrived out of nowhere, as it made skins they previously used on various creative islands unusable on said islands due to the new age rating restriction. Developer Epic Games has now responded, revealing that about 7% of Fortnite skins, or Outfits as they're officially called, can only be equipped in islands rated Teen. 

With Hearthstone celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2024, Blizzard seems to be preparing a new cross-over promotion with WoW. Many hints of this promotion have been found in the first 10.2.5 PTR build.

We previously datamined new Dreadlord's Regalia armor sets but cosmetic items to acquire these transmogs have finally hit the 10.2.5 PTR. It's still currently unknown how we'll obtain these new armor sets, but we do know these sets will be account-wide. Will we see the Dreadlords return as part of the Reclaiming Gilneas story campaign coming in 10.2.5? They do love their gothic architecture after all.
