One of the toughest Terminid enemies to fight in is the Bile Titan, but bringing the right grenade makes them easier to kill. has a plethora of heavily armored enemies that are major annoyances for players, and while they rarely spawn at lower levels, they can still heavily complicate missions. On the highest difficulty, Helldive, these enemies often spawn in packs and can easily overwhelm Helldivers, leading to a failed mission.
The Bile Titan is currently the highest-ranking and one of the most annoying Terminid enemies in , being very large, heavily armored insects that walk on four long legs. Each one has an acid stomach pouch that allows it to fire a heavy beam of acid capable of instantly killing Helldivers if not weakening them for other Terminids. The only way to kill Bile Titans is with heavy explosives, high amounts of consistent damage, or direct shots to the mouth with heavy support weapons.
Introduced in the new Cutting Edge Warbond, the G-23 Stun Grenade has become a great option for killing Bile Titans. The trickiest part of Bile Titans is that, although they are not the fastest Terminid, they move around enough to make them hard to hit. This applies to both when trying to shoot their heads or blowing them up with Stratagems. The G-23 Stun Grenade solves this problem by locking the Bile Titan in place long enough to easily kill them.
When it comes to Stratagems, the best option is 's Eagle 500kg Bomb. This high explosive airstrike will one-shot Bile Titans consistently if the missile lands on the Titan or near its feet. Anywhere else and it may just weaken it, but that should be an easy fix if the Bile Titan is stunned. Other options that work are the Rocket Pods, Orbital Laser, and Precision Railcannon. However, none of these work as consistently as the 500kg bomb.
Weapons-wise, the vast majority of support weapons will suffice for killing Bile Titans. The best options are the Recoilless Rifle or Expandable Anti-Tank Missile, both capable of killing Bile Titans in one or two shots. A Railgun in unsafe mode or Autocannon will also work but require more shots. The newly popular Flamethrower and Arc Thrower are also capable of killing Bile Titans, but they cannot hit the weak spot and take a long time. Finally, the new Patriot Exosuit Stratagem mech in can kill Bile Titans with one or two rockets.
The Bile Titan's acid pouch can be destroyed and remove their ability to use the acid attack.
The Stun Grenade has other uses besides defeating Bile Titans. They are great escape tools in a pinch or when dealing with a swarm of enemies. Though they don't kill enemies as fast as the popular Impact Grenade, they are a significantly safer option. This is because of the risk of the Impact killing

borrows a lot of things from the first game, but skips out on multiple enemy factions — not just the Illuminate. At launch and up until the time of writing, Helldivers 2 has had two enemy factions: the Terminids (Bugs) and the Automatons (Bots). However, with the recent total success of the Major Order "", it appears the Automatons have finally been eradicated once and for all. Of course, there's always a chance they'll return, but for the time being, players are left to wonder what comes next.
The latest patch for should make it significantly easier for players to complete missions by fixing some of the game's most persistent crashes. Developer Arrowhead Studios has done a tremendous job of supporting its third-person sci-fi shooter with a wealth of post-launch updates that both address pressing issues and add new content to the game. Now, as the community celebrates its victory over the Automatons, the most recent hotfix aims to stabilize the game to ensure that everyone is able to savor the Bots' crushing defeat.
A Helldivers 2 developer has explained that it's ok if some game mechanics only exist "for lulz and roleplay" and aren't viable at the game's highest difficulties.
With reinforcements from Super Earth's Ministry of Defense pushing back Automatons and Terminids in the liberation campaign, has introduced the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon. This Cannon stands out as a shoulder-mounted anti-tank Stratagem described as a tool that "
As the community continues to fight in Super Earth's galactic war, one dedicated play has envisioned a simple yet effective solution to one of the game's persistent problems: Supply lines. While Arrowhead Studios does an excellent job of introducing mechanics and concepts to players, one aspect that isn't clarified when starting up the game is how interplanetary travel works. Fortunately, with such a committed player base, it didn't take long for players to learn about supply lines but despite the discovery, many are still unclear on how they actually work.
In an era rife with microtransactions and games released in buggy conditions, titles like and are saving modern gaming as we know it. For years, publishers have come to rely on aggressive tactics to drain every penny possible from consumers post-launch. The commercial and critical success of ,, and other recent examples like prove that if a game is well-made and fun to play, buyers will support it. The cost of AAA game production is skyrocketing, and while that, too, is a problem plaguing the industry, predatory microtransactions are not the answer – quality is.
A new threat is emerging on the Automaton front in , and it may be significant enough to turn the tide of battle. Arrowhead Game Studios' third-person co-op shooter has excelled as a live-service title through its ongoing story, in which players are embroiled in the Galactic War as Super Earth's elite Helldiver units. So far, the Helldivers have seen more success than failure, but a new Automaton enemy could put Super Earth's latest offensive in jeopardy.

This involves a myriad of tweaks, changes, and added content, making the live-service game feel like it's actually getting some decent service. Although there are a number of fixes that just involve removing highly specific bugs, there are many that change the player's experience drastically.
The war for Super Earth just got even more exciting as announced that two new weapons will soon be available for all players. In the ongoing campaigns to wipe out both the Terminids and the Automatons, Helldivers are equipped with a small arsenal of death-dealing tools: From small handguns all the way to two-man heavy cannons, the firearms on offer are usually enough to wipe out a small army of foes. Fortunately, everyone's options are about to become even more varied with a couple of new guns that look like they'll absolutely devastate the enemy.
players who find themselves constantly running out of Stratagems need not fear as the community has discovered a way of calling in air support for free. In order to push back the hordes of Automatons and Terminids besieging the galaxy, Helldivers need more than just their standard-issue firearms; to really stand a chance, they've got to call in the big guns. The problem with that is that these Strategems all work on a cooldown meaning it's possible to be caught out without the ability to call in additional support.
boasts delightfully intricate gameplay systems, and people are still discovering not-so-hidden mechanics and features to exploit. Some features are relatively intuitive, found naturally by simply completing missions. In the chaos of Terminid and Automaton combat, however, Helldivers are hard-pressed simply to survive from one skirmish to another. In the pandemonium, many of the game’s unique mechanics hide in plain sight – in view but out of focus.
Despite splitting its galactic war relatively evenly across multiple factions, hasn't managed to maintain an equal divide between the Terminid and Automaton fronts, with the playerbase generally favoring the Terminids. As the galactic war of progresses, however, with the potential for new factions to be added, there are some potential ways to alleviate the relative unpopularity of fighting automatons — that is, if the disparity between them is seen as an issue worth trying to solve.
