Final Fantasy XVI: The Rising Tide story expansion is out now, and as you’d expect, it includes some new gear, including the best weapons in the game thus far. Here’s one for all you connoisseurs of the horrific consequences of your own actions. Regicide-em-up visual novel Slay the Princess’ new update brings with it new dialogue and music, fleshing out the game with additional choices, expanded scenes, and orchestral renditions of some choice tracks. The new content takes the form of new animations and “more than 3,000 words of additional and restructured dialogue choices and conversations.” That is easily enough words to tell the Stanley Parable-esque narrator that you’re on to him and whatever mind games he’s playing, with enough left over for the other voices in your head to make you doubt your own morality with alarming frequency.

Rumor has it that Sony and Marvel Studios have almost reached an agreement on Spider-Man 4. Unfortunately, there are still disagreements between the two studios. Sony seems to want a dramatically larger scope of movie than what Marvel and Kevin Feige desire for the fourth installment in the Tom Holland-led superhero franchise.

As if colony sim RimWorld doesn't already have enough ways for your sci-fi frontier adventurers to die, a new expansion titled Anomaly is goiong to add "all manner of monstrous, mysterious, and maddening threats". Finji is a developer and publisher best known for being associated with the likes of Tunic, Night in the Woods, Chicory: A Colorful Tale, which tend to feature a lot of colorful critters in more retro gaming genres…which made it a bit of a shock when their latest game was revealed at The Game Awards, that being a third-person action-adventure hack-and-slash game done in collaboration with Sweet Baby, who have worked on the likes of Alan Wake II and God of War: Ragnarok when it comes to narrative. Said game is called Usual June, and you can catch the first glimpse of it below.

Finji, the publishers behind Tunic and Night In The Woods, have revealed their next internal development project at tonight's Game Awards. Usual June is a new action adventure game where you play as the eponymous June, a college student who happens to be able to talk to ghosts.
