A strange glitch is causing frustration for many longtime Instagram users. Reports have found that the oldest posted videos on the platform are suddenly losing their audio without any explanation. The Steam accounts of multiple game developers were recently compromised and used to update their games with malware. Fewer than 100 Steam users had the games installed when the malware was added, and they've been directly notified of the risk by email, according to Valve. The company confirmed details of the story, reported earlier this week by GameDiscoverCo newsletter founder Simon Carless, in an email to PC Gamer today.

I wanted to share with you an in-depth journey through the most recent changes to Sombra, our notorious stealthy hacker. Since her original release in 2016, Sombra has received many changes, including a rework for Overwatch 2's launch. Now the team brings changes to this latest iteration on Sombra once again. 

Thankfully, for fans of Star Trek there are now plenty of decent games to play on PC if you fancy yourself as a budding Picard or Kirk, such as 2023’s Star Trek: Resurgence, but back at the turn of the century this was far from the case. 

When Insomniac created a version of the Marvel universe for their title with Spider-Man, many wondered just how “intertwined” the video game would be with the Marvel-616 comics universe. As we would find out in Marvel’s Spider-Man…it wasn’t that intertwined at all. For example, instead of showing the origins of Peter Parker, they skipped eight years into his career, where he had already faced many villains and put several away, including Kingpin, at the start of the game. Norman Osborne was the mayor of New York City and NOT the Green Goblin, and Peter was working side-by-side with his mentor, Dr. Otto Octavius.

We live in an age of state-sponsored cyber warfare, one where conflicts have a parallel and intangible digital battlefield. Overwatch 2’s seventh season will be a big one, despite not featuring a new hero. Season 7, or “Rise of Darkness” as Blizzard is calling the new season of content, will add a new Control map, a big Diablo-themed crossover, and a new Mythic skin for Hanzo — completing the Shimada clan Mythic skin trifecta.

Hacker hero Sombra is one of two characters getting a big rework in Overwatch 2’s new season, which kicks off Oct. 10. While other heroes on the game’s roster will be impacted by various balance changes, Sombra’s abilities are being overhauled in some pretty substantial ways. Blizzard says the changes to Sombra are designed to make her “more engaging to play with and play against.”

The comic book adaptation has been in the works for quite some time, but due to the writer's strike, a clash of actor scheduling, and budget issues, the project has been put on hold for quite some time. However, Blum has finally spoken out and given us some insight into when we can expect Spawn to rise up onto our screens.

Since AI first began making waves, experts have expressed concern about this technology that can hypothetically even gain sentience one day. In 1950, American writer Isaac Asimov published his book "I, Robot", which explored this theme. Then, in 1984, James Cameron's film The Terminator took the stage and showcased the killer AI that caused the apocalypse. However, in 2023, those who are expressing concerns are entrepreneurs that are working with this technology, governments, and AI scientists themselves. Recently, one AI expert stated that AI will cause the first extinction event for humans by triggering events such as nuclear war and virus outbreaks.
