Techland's zombie action-RPG Dying Light 2 has released a brand-new update, fixing a ton of bugs found with the game's most recent content drop. The overall player experience for Dying Light 2 continues to improve all the time, and this latest update is another extension of that.

The latest update forDying Light 2 Stay Human is pretty massive, adding Nightmare Mode, its new highest difficulty. However, there are also several night-time changes, Gear Loadouts, visual improvements and more.

Dying Light 2 is getting an additional way to play with Nightmare Mode. The system features new mechanics and gameplay changes similar to the Nightmare Mode of the original Dying Light. The increased difficulty comes with its own reward for players wanting a challenge in Dying Light 2.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human might be a primarily single-player experience, but the open world action RPG does have multiplayer elements (4-player co-op being most prominent among them) that have made many in its player base wonder when (or if) cross-play support will be added. Prior to the game’s release in 2022, Techland indicated that though cross-play wouldn’t be supported at launch, it could be added in at a later date, but now that the game is over two years old, is that any closer to becoming a reality?

The major «Firearms Update» for Dying Light 2 is now available as a celebration of the game's second anniversary, giving players access to all-new weapons for progressing the story. This appears to be the biggest post-launch update for Dying Light 2 yet, with several new additions and a slew of bug fixes to improve the overall player experience.

Techland has announced (via Gamerant) that Dying Light 2 Stay Human will receive a new edition on February 22nd. The Reloaded Edition goes live alongside the Firearms Update and includes the base game, the Bloody Ties DLC and all updates released thus far.

After one year of exclusivity on the Epic Games Store, Dead Island 2 will release on Steam in April.

Techland has kicked off the new Holiday event for Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Titled Winter Tales 2023, the event will be live until January 5 and brings in new Christmas-themed enemies for players to take on, like Uncle Snow and Naughty Infected. Check out the trailer for the event below.

Developer Techland has announced a collaboration with Ubisoft to bring Dying Light 2 Stay Human together with multiplayer action game For Honor together. As part of the collaboration, which is live now, Dying Light 2 Stay Human players will be able to meet the Kensei, Wardens and Berserkers in the game.
