The animated origin story of Autobot leader Optimus Prime and his Decepticon rival Megatron will come to the big screen this September in Transformers One, with Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry voicing the friends turned enemies. Supergiant Games just treated Hades fans to an extensive look at the game's upcoming sequel. Seriously — the developer hosted a three-hour livestream that showed off Hades II's gameplay, new features and mechanics, as well as the new designs for its characters based on the gods of Greek mythology. Supergiant's Creative Director Greg Kasavin and Studio Director Amir Rao demonstrated the abilities of the game's new protagonist, Melinoë. While she's the sister of Zagreus, the first title's protagonist, and Hades II is a direct sequel to the original, Kasavin and Rao said players don't need to have prior knowledge of the first game and of Greek mythology to enjoy it. Old fans, however, will catch «delightful references» here and there.

With all the excitement of Dragonflight Alpha, something that flew under the radar was that Blizzard has massively reduced the XP required from levels 1-60 in Dragonflight Alpha, with reductions reaching as low as 78% in some levels, netting a 56.9% reduction in absolute experience required.

Twitch has been testing a discovery feed for livestreams and Clips on mobile since last year, in hopes of giving users a new way to find new streamers to follow and, hence, spend more time on the platform. Now, the website has announced that it's rolling out the feature to all users later this month. The feed will first appear as a new tab in the mobile app and will allow viewers to switch between a scrollable feed for livestreams and another one for Clips. Like their names imply, the live feed will show users broadcasts from people they already follow and ongoing streams from people they don't based on their watch history. Meanwhile, the Clips feed will be filled with short snippets from live broadcasts.

In looking through the War Within customization data, one race stood out as a mystery--the Harronir. While we expected to see the Earthen Allied Race show up with many new customization descriptions, seeing so many options for the Harrionir took us by surprise. While we haven't encountered the Harronir in War Within announcements and demos so far, based on their appearances we suspect they might be a race we'll interact with in higher-level zones, with aesthetic elements reminiscent of Trolls, Elves, and Venthyr. No confirmation that they'll be a playable Allied Race, but in past expansions, NPC races with numerous customization options--think Nighborne or Vulpera--later became Allied Races. And while you can't play a Harronir in-game, you can create your own in our TWW Dressing Room, fully customize them, and dress them up in armor! Harronir Customizations in Dressing Room The Harronir customization options you see below are a promising start, but they'd still need some work to be a true Allied Race, as they're lacking some player-favorite options like a variety of hair styles or colors. Either way, we can't wait to see them in War Within and learn more about this shadowy race's backstory!

A talented Pokemon fan and artist has unveiled two new fan designs for Jirachi, the mythical Steel/Psychic Pokemon originally released as part of the game series' third generation. The recently-released designs envision Jirachi with two brand-new type combinations, showcasing the potential that future regional variants could still hold for it.

Should Sony decide to iterate on this novel idea, there are a few features we think it needs to have to be a true success.

Fallout's release has been a smash hit for Amazon and Bethesda, and with how the show ended, we're all now just sitting here waiting for Season 2 to be confirmed. While we're waiting, fans of the show have been discussing what kind of stats each of the show's main characters would be cruising around the Wasteland with, judging things like their Luck, Strength, Intelligence, and others based on their actions in the show.

Gamescom may be the most significant gaming convention and trade show in Europe (and probably the world following the death of E3), but Nintendo is a bit hit-and-miss with their attendance. They skipped 2022, but they were there in 2023, and, in fact, it was rumored they may have shown the Switch 2 for the first time behind closed doors while there. Final Fantasy XVI famously didn't meet the sales expectations of Square Enix, though that was partly blamed on slower than anticipated adoption of the PlayStation 5 (the only platform where the game is currently available). However, there is at least one area where the developers reportedly hit their original goals. Speaking to Push Square, Final Fantasy XVI DLC Director Takeo Kujiraoka said:

The company has announced a crowdfunding campaign that will raise partial funds for the development of a AAA Invincible game.

For a while now, the identity of Shadow the Hedgehog's voice actor in the upcoming Sonic movie has been a complete mystery, with Paramount and Sega happy to let that mystery sit to drum up excitement around the movie. Actors such as Hayden Christensen, Robert Pattinson, Christian Bale, and many other edgy actors were banded around for the role, but it looks like The Matrix and John Wick star Keanu Reeves has landed the role.

Erik Todd Dellums, the voice actor behind radio host Three Dog in Fallout 3, says he'd be up for appearing in the Fallout show. This would be the first time Dellums has appeared in the series since Fallout 3, where he gave us the iconic Three Dog performance that's still etched into the minds of players all these years later.

As if casting Idris Elba in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 wasn't enough of a scoop, this year's third Sonic movie will reportedly see the eternally youthful Keanu Reeves take on the role of Shadow.
