A new game in the beloved Batman: Arkham series has been announced, but there’s a catch. Batman: Arkham Shadow is coming out in late 2024, but it’s exclusively coming to Meta Quest 3.

Camouflaj and Oculus Studios have announced a new VR game coming late this year. The studio hasn’t revealed much about the upcoming game, though it’s coming exclusively to Meta Quest 3.

The start of Season 4 in EA Sports WRC brings with it beta support for VR headsets on PC, a free update available across Steam, Epic and EA App versions of the game. The VR Beta and update 1.8.0 are available from 11AM BST today.

Survios announced in 2022 that it was developing a new horror game based on the Alien franchise, and that game has now been formally unveiled. Titled Alien: Rogue Incursion, the single-player action horror game has been announced with a brief trailer that reveals its name, but doesn’t show any gameplay or offer any details on its story and setup.

Saber Interactive’s MudRunner game has carved out a solid niche for itself, but if you just can’t get enough of it, even with the recently released Expeditions: A MudRunner Game– well, there’s more on the way, albeit on new platforms.

Meta has announced that it is teaming up with Asus ROG and Lenovo to make new third-party VR gaming headsets that will run on the Meta VR ecosystem. The ecosystem itself is getting a refresh, as detailed by a lengthy blog post, and will now be known as Meta Horizon OS.

Developer FarBridge has announced that upcoming VR strategy title Homeworld: Vast Reaches will be coming to Meta Quest 2 and 3 on May 2. The studio has also revealed that a SteamVR release is planned for the title as well for later this year. The game is currently available to wishlist on the Meta Quest Store and Steam.

FarBridge and Gearbox Entertainment have announced a new spin-off title set in the sci-fi setting of Homeworld. The game, titled Homeworld: Vast Reaches, is a new story in the saga, and is a VR game coming to Meta Quest 2 and Quest 3 headsets later in 2024. Check out the trailer below.

In November, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise made the jump to virtual reality with Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, an action-adventure title touting the series’ trademark stealth and parkour mechanics, translated to a VR experience. And though the game certainly received solid reviews (currently sitting at a Metacritic score of 78), that doesn’t seem to have led to solid sales.

C-Smash VRS is coming to Quest 2, Quest 3 and PICO 4 headsets on 4th April 2024, smashing through the blocks of PlayStation VR 2 exclusivity to reach as much broader VR gaming audience.

Ubisoft has a number of Assassin’s Creed games in the works, several of which are trying new things that the franchise hasn’t dabbled much with much in the past. Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, for instance, represents the series’ first foray into virtual reality, and the game is now available on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro headsets. With Assassin’s Creed Mirage out and successful for Ubisoft, it’s focusing on Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, a spin-off coming to Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro on November 16th. In a new gameplay overview video, the development team discusses several gameplay features and how VR affects the classic formula.

Meta announced its newest Meta Quest 3 mixed reality headset back in June, promising twice the graphical performance of its predecessor, the Quest 2. Now, with increased competition in the mixed reality segment from Apple, the company has revealed more details about its next-generation headset at its Meta Connect 2023 annual conference on Wednesday, including an official launch date. The Meta Quest 3 will start shipping October 10, with pre-orders for the headset live right now. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also showed off immersive virtual reality capabilities of the headset, while keeping your physical surroundings in sight with full-colour passthrough.

The Meta Quest 3 was unveiled earlier this year, and confirmed to be coming out sometime in the Fall. Now, Meta has announced an exact release date for its next-gen mixed reality headset, and revealed other new details.

The $500 Meta Quest 3 is set to be officially shown off in about a month, but a lucky leaker appears to have gotten their hands on the headset ahead of launch. An X/Twitter user known as VR Panda Alex From CHN posted a full video of themselves pulling the virtual reality headset from its box, revealing the experience we'll get to enjoy when the headset arrives.
