Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is Out Now on Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro

Update: Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 is now available to download on PS5. It weighs in at a rather hefty 16.8GB.

The PS5 is about to take a trip to Pandora. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora blasts onto Sony’s console on December 7th, thrusting players into the fantastical world from James Cameron’s mega-hit blockbusters. In addition to Update 2.1 going live for all players, Cyberpunk 2077’s Ultimate Edition is out on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It’s the definitive edition and includes the base game, Phantom Liberty expansion, all updates released thus far (including Update 2.1) and digital goodies from the “My Rewards” program for $59.99.

Publisher Thunderful Publishing and developer The Station have announced that city-building game SteamWorld Build is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. Check out the launch trailer below.

Out of the blue, as often is the case with new Valve products and technologies, SteamVR users were treated to the announcement that their virtual reality games can now be streamed wirelessly to Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, or Meta Quest Pro devices thanks to the Steam Link app now available via the Meta Quest Store.

How many Steam users have VR headsets? Just 1.23%, according to the current Hardware and Software survey: That doesn't include everyone, but it's enough of a sample to paint a broad picture. Of that number, the Meta Quest 2 is far and away the most popular rig, accounting for nearly 40% of the total. Owners of those units, along with those who have Quest 3 and Quest Pro rigs, got some good news today, as Valve has announced that Steam Link is now available on all three headsets.

When the central fiction of your series revolves around inserting yourself into a machine and experiencing someone else’s life, few franchises could lend themselves as seamlessly to VR as Assassin’s Creed. While the Meta Quest isn’t quite like an Animus, Ubisoft has drawn upon its VR tech – and enhanced it for the pumped-up Quest 3 – to get you closer than ever to experience the life of Ezio Auditore and his brethren. If you’re a fan of the series, you should be very excited.

Asgard's Wrath 2, the sequel to developer Sanzaru Games' 2019 virtual reality ARPG, received a brand new trailer today ahead of its December 15th release on the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro VR headsets.

The Ilysia VR team has released a new video showing off the difference in graphics between the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3. We also get a roadmap from Team 21 Studios and some direction where Ilysia is now headed. 

Real-time strategy game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is out now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game features four factions, a cinematic single-player campaign, as well as competitive multiplayer options. Check out the launch trailer below.

In The Pale Reach, available at any time in a playthrough, players can venture to a new biome with icebergs and freezing waters. Of course, various horrors lurk under the surface.
