Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 is over seven years old at this point, but it just keeps getting bigger. With the PS5 version still set to release on the 24th May, Bandai Namco has revealed that a new series of DLC chapters will be dropping «soon». Titled the 'Future Saga', it'll be made up of four chapters, which, again, just seems nuts for a title that's been kicking for close to a decade.

Months after its initial release, Bandai Namco seems hellbent on squeezing as much money as it possibly can from Tekken 8. Tekken 8 downloadable content character Eddy Gordo will launch on April 4, Bandai Namco announced. Character Year 1 Pass owners will be able to access him three days earlier on April 1 at 4:00 p.m. PT / 7:00 p.m. ET.

Larian Studios recently announced that it won't be frolicking in the Dungeons & Dragons world anymore - dashing hopes for Baldur's Gate 3 DLC and a possible Baldur's Gate 4 - but the team's founder says there's no bad blood between the studio and the D&D license holder. 

Larian Studios head Swen Vincke has confirmed that it's not Wizards of the Coast's fault that the team is moving on from Baldur's Gate and that it's simply something the studio wanted to do.

A Pokemon fan has reimagined the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in a cartoon image resembling the black and white rubberhose cartoons of the 1930s. The second expansion for Final Fantasy 16, titled The Rising Tide, now has an official launch date. It arrives on the 18th April, and costs $19.99 if you're buying it by itself. The Expansion Pass, priced at $24.99, gets you this second DLC and the previously released Echoes of the Fallen.

Peripheral manufacturer PDP revealed its upcoming Riffmaster Wireless Guitar Controller in February, and it's a pretty slick piece of kit. Ahead of (or maybe alongside, we're not sure) the release of its second expansion, Final Fantasy 16 will be getting a free update that includes some rather positive-sounding changes. Patch 1.30 was detailed during the developer's PAX East panel, so we've gone ahead and sorted the additions and improvements as bullet points:

Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide will be adding everything from a new explorable location to a challenging new endgame activity, but it’s fair to say that the DLC’s biggest highlight is going to be its boss fight against Leviathan. Larian Studios appears ready to leave the Baldur's Gate franchise behind having released the landmark third instalment, with founder Swen Vicke saying the developer has no plans for any Baldur's Gate 3 DLC and won't be producing a fourth game. His comments were made during a GDC panel earlier today, where it was said the team plans to move away from Dungeons & Dragons entirely for something new, which has been in development at least as of January 2024.

Baldur's Gate 3 has been such a massive success for developer Larian Studio that you'd naturally assume that the team behind it would jump at the chance to make more. Unfortunately, no amount of success or praise is going to convince Larian to go back to Baldur's Gate, as CEO Swen Vincke recently revealed in a panel at GDC that the studio doesn't intend to make a sequel or any expansions for Baldur's Gate 3.

During a talk at GDC 2024, Baldur's Gate 3 director Swen Vincke announced that Larian Studios would not be making any DLC, expansions or sequels for the highly-regarded RPG, which took home another Game of the Year award at Wednesday's Game Developers Choice Awards. However, speaking with IGN, Vincke did say that Larian began work on DLC and even gave some thought to a potential Baldur's Gate 4 before pivoting away to other projects.

Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance was previously locked in for release on the 21st June, but for whatever reason, it's now launching one week earlier, on the 14th June. Atlus has confirmed the new date via its social media accounts, and states that any current pre-orders should now be fulfilled on the updated schedule.

Dead Island 2’s second DLC expansion, SoLA, is going to be released on April 17th, Deep Silver has announced. The new content will take players to the the one of the biggest music festivals in California, whose soundtrack has changed from raving beats to the sounds of the undead. The content includes the new location, a new enemy types, and new legendary weapons.
