As noted wisely by a certain game developer recently, when patches go out for titles, the goal is to fix the game and the problems that popped up. However, the catch is that the patch can fix the problem while creating new ones. The concept is not new in game development, yet it’s always hilarious to see exactly what kind of bugs pop up after others get “fixed.” For Diablo IV, they had a patch that seemed to do everything right based on gamer response. However, now an exploit has come around that gamers will be taking advantage of until it’s fixed.

Earlier today, Blizzard suspended player trading in Diablo IV thanks to an item and gold duplication exploit in the game. Despite the 1.1.2 patch today, trading is still disabled.

Diablo fans had waited quite a few years to get their hands on the next major installment. Now Diablo IV is now available for players to enjoy. However, it’s not without its share of problems from players. It’s a game that has players connected online, and as a result, there needs to be an even playing field. While every game has its share of exploits uncovered, this latest Diablo installment has developers quickly taking action. For instance, developers have just shut down the trading feature because of one exploit discovery.

Blizzard announced an abrupt freeze on Diablo 4 player item trading following its discovery of a new duplication exploit which lets players easily farm resources and resell items. Additionally, the developer reaffirmed its stance on the EULA policy and plans to ban any players that use the exploit for personal gain.

A brand new short story, ”Teeth of the Plague”is now out, concluding the Diablo IV  Tales of Sanctuary series.

Diablo IV's much-awaited season 1 update is almost upon us and ahead of that, Blizzard has rolled out a new patch for preparation. The hefty 8GB patch 1.1.0a brings a range of balance changes, fixes some bugs, and adds unique items, in addition to making permanent upgrades such as Altars of Lilith unlocks available account-wide when starting as a new character. For the uninitiated, ‘Season of the Malignant' is set after the events of the main campaign, once you've defeated Lilith and unravelled the Tree of Whispers. Diablo 4 season 1 goes live tonight at 10:30pm IST in India/ July 20 at 10am PT in the US, across PC and consoles.
