A brand new short story, ”Teeth of the Plague”is now out, concluding the Diablo IV Tales of Sanctuary series.
In this new story, there is darkness at work, naturally, with more characters to meet and lore to immerse yourself in. The official description of the new story, which is written by Z Brewer, says:
“Tejal tells the tale of a holdfast infested with plague-carrying rats, and Kirek, the man tasked with removing them. In his years of dealing with the vermin, Kirek has done many foul and unspeakable deeds, but it seems the end is in sight. That is, until he stumbles upon a creature lurking in the dark—a creature said to have the soul of a thousand vermin, seeking the blood of its betrayer…”
Given that this is Diablo and Sanctuary that we’re talking about, and the tales told in the previous three stories, this one is sure to continue the sinister plots and discoveries.
All four short stories are available to read for free. Catch up with Tejal’s personal story and background in “The Witness”, discover Klath-Ulna, who is seeking to avenge his brother, in “The Toll of Darkness and Light”, and perhaps spend some time with “Sanctum of Bone”, which follows the journey of the Iolaynah.
Tejal continues to tell this latest tale, setting up by saying “I, Tejal, have served as witness to both in visions that haunt me to this very day. Gather yourself now and listen as I regale you with a story about a young druid boy... and the thing that he will become.”.
This final is shorter than prior entries at 17 pages long, and things ramp up quickly. Still, you might come away with some more insight into Tejal the shopkeeper whenever you feel the need to trade some platinum for her wares.
