Today's Nintendo Indie World Showcase had a few surprises, and if you happen to be familiar with the Atari 2600 library, none of them were more surprising than the announcement of Yars Rising.

This bundle features PDFs of The World of Cyberpunk 2077 and The World of the Witcher, two massive tomes published by Dark Horse Comics that are full of amazing illustrations, and lore that power CD Projekt RED's open-world adventures. You’ll also get access to Gwent: Art of the Witcher Card Game, which features 216 pages of illustrations used in the stand-alone version of Gwent.

Cyberpunk 2077 is among the most demanding open-world games available on PC and consoles, but it seems like we have come to a point where some Android devices can run the game with playable performance.

A Easter egg is a perfect nod to one of Keanu Reeves' best characters. Following CD Projekt RED's recent quarterly report, where we learned that The Witcher 4 (Polaris) is still in pre-production, a couple of executives were invited by the Polish financial site StockWatch to answer a few questions.

The Witcher 4, the best working name we have for the currently untitled project Polaris, will introduce "gameplay elements and new mechanics" not seen in the previous games.

Microtransactions have become an unavoidable reality in games in the modern context, especially with game development budgets continuing to balloon to ridiculous degrees, but even so, seeing in-game monetization in single-player experiences never quite sits right with the vast majority. We had a very recent example of that with Dragon’s Dogma 2, a game that, despite widespread acclaim, still drew plenty of backlash for its post-launch inclusion of microtransactions. Not all players in the industry see the value in such a strategy, however.

There are a lot of upcoming CD Projekt Red games, and if you're worried that the studio might change its ways and go all-in on microtransactions in a fit of capitalism, don't worry. The studio says it doesn't see a place for microtransactions in single-player games - only multiplayer titles.

Now that Cyberpunk 2077 is in the best place it can be, and Phantom Liberty has been pushed out into the wild, questions are being asked about what CD Projekt Red's next big release is going to be. It's been incredibly transparent with its development process, as a result of trying to make up for Cyberpunk 2077's launch shenanigans, and now the studio has shared its development pipeline on social media for us to see exactly what it's working on.

The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 creators CD Projekt Red have reported their earnings for 2023 (their fiscal year corresponds with the regular calendar year) and it seems it was a good 12 months for the Polish publisher. 2023 was CDPR’s second-best year ever, thanks to the sales of the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion, which managed to move 5 million copies, which is added to the 20 million in sales for the original Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR has also announced that The Witcher series surpassed 75 million units sold last year. So, yes, if you’re doing the math (75 million for the Witcher, 25 million for Cyberpunk) CDPR has now sold over 100 million games. Not bad!

To say V is responsible for a lot of killing throughout 's story would be an understatement. Alongside dispatching swathes of gang members, corpo-owned armies, and more, V comes face to face with some truly brutal foes, none more memorable than Arasaka's head of security, Adam Smasher.

CD Projekt chief financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz called 2023 the second best year in the company's history as the studio posted net profits of more than $120 million in its full year earnings. Earlier this week, Magic: The Gathering artist Fay Dalton was accused of plagiarism when creating the Trouble in Pairs card. Wizards of the Coast released a statement shortly after the story went live, saying that it was "looking into" the matter. But the allegations haven't stopped, as some MTG players believe they've found more art plagiarised to create the card.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available to play at no cost as part of a limited trial over the coming weekend, according to developer CD Projekt Red. The popular game will be free to play for a few hours on current generation consoles from Microsoft and Sony, but not for PC gamers. You will have access to the base Cyberpunk 2077 game — which will need to be downloaded in its entirety in order to access the trial. The Phantom Liberty expansion won't be part of the trial this weekend.

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.12 hit the RPG on February 29 alongside some relatively short patch notes. The patch notably didn't mention a newly discovered Easter egg attached to an unassuming diner in Watson district, which the devs at CD Projekt Red were only recently musing about being undiscovered.
