Baldur’s Gate 3 has become a phenomenon since it launched last month, being heralded for its unique cast of characters, in-depth battle system and clever writing. Yet, even as one of the most highly-rated video games of all time, the D&D RPG hasn’t been able to shake off a slew of issues, from CPU slowdown to frame rate drops, which occur the longer you progress into the game. While developer Larian Studios has been consistent with its fixes and updates, the third act is still riddled with issues, but this Baldur’s Gate 3 DLSS 3 mod may be exactly what Baldur’s Gate 3 needs.

Dustborn appears to be many things. It’s a road tripping adventure across an alternate United States that involves maintaining relationships between the members of a rebel gang posing as a rock group, and staying off the radar of an oppressive police force called Justice. It’s a rhythm action game, requiring you to tap buttons in time with on screen prompts to sing along with the car radio or complete performances with your band. In some instances, it’s a Streets of Rage-inspired beat ‘em up that lets you take a baseball bat to hordes of robot soldiers. Yet all the while, Dustborn is also a comic book that your decisions are helping to shape on the fly.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 series on September 12, much to the delight of Apple fans around the world. Its newest iPhone series features notable upgrades over its predecessors. Dynamic Island, which was introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models, is now standard across all iPhone 15 models. A new comic based on the beloved narrative adventure game series Life Is Strange begins in December from Titan Comics. 

Whenever a new Nintendo Switch game is released, a few new amiibo figures modeled after characters from it usually aren't far behind. There is no shortage of things to pick up in Starfield — lots of curious little items that serve no other purpose than to decorate and delight. United Colonies scientists neatly stack research materials in cabinets and drawers, research binders lining shelves on the wall. It has been rumored for some time that Apple will be getting rid of the leather phone cases and watch bands. Over the years, the full scope of the One Piece story has emerged like a never-ending serpentine sea monster. While not the longest manga ever made, it is, by all reasonable measures, an absurdly long story. Creator Eiichiro Oda started publishing the series in 1997 and it’s still getting new chapters to this day. As it stands now, the manga has over 1,000 chapters, and the anime series similarly has over 1,000 episodes. Now, the Netflix live-action adaptation must face this monster of a story and make it its own.

The moment at the start of Fallout 3 when you step out into the wasteland blew some minds back in 2008, but Starfield's intro isn't quite having the same effect. The short narrative sequence that casts you as a miner isn't quite as captivating as growing up in a Vault, and the simplified space travel and somewhat dull first hours that follow has players wrestling with one of Bethesda's most divisive opening acts yet.

Even if you select the ‘UC Native‘ trait when creating a character in Starfield, you won’t be a United Colonies Citizen. Citizenship is only available to those that serve in the UC, and the only way you can serve is by joining the UC Vanguard. Like its rubber protagonist, One Piece is a media franchise that can bend and stretch every which way. Created by manga artist Eiichiro Oda, One Piece portrays a young boy named Luffy and his band of goofy pirates on their quest for a mystical treasure called the One Piece. It started as a serialized comic in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1997. Fast forward over 25 years, and the series is still ongoing, with 1,000 chapters published and over 100 volumes. Since its inception, the series has received a popular anime adaptation, multiple feature film adaptations, several video games, and now a live-action series from Netflix.

One of the best parts of any adventure is getting to go on it with a band of merry mates. This was true back when humans first sprung from the ocean, and it’s true now in Baldur’s Gate 3. Friends are awesome, and keeping them happy will ensure they stick around. Heck, they might even give you a high-five.

With 1,000 planets to explore, most fans eagerly anticipate spending hundreds of hours exploring everything Starfield offers. Last night (August 22), during Gamescom 2023’s Opening Night Live, one particularly interesting game shown was Dustborn — a stylish story-driven action-adventure game developed by Red Thread Games and published by Quantic Dream, which allows players to use their words as weapons.

Of all League of Legends‘ numerous musical maestros, K/DA remain my favorites.
