Farmers in Lego Fortnite will be thrilled to hear that you can now collect farm animals, adding them to your villages. After being brought in to tiny barns, they’ll produce materials for you in exchange for food.

LEGO Fortnite's latest update might be its best one yet, now allowing villagers to befriend animals and recruit them to your farm.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is going to be one of those games that keeps on throwing up little secrets and features we had no idea were even in there, what with the world being absolutely massive and letting you discover things for yourself. Just last week, fans finally realized that you can actually use catapults to uncover hidden areas, and this week they've discovered a use for all that rotten meat stinking up your inventory.

Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone has revealed by far the biggest new change coming in update 1.6: a whole a new farm that starts you out with two chickens and features some sort of blue, chewy grass that animals apparently can't get enough of.

11 bit studios are best known for grim games like colony sim Frostpunk, which is all about trying to survive in a world battered by relentless blizzards. But their latest venture - created in partnership with developers Chibig and Inverge Studios, and co-written by Rhianna Pratchett - is drastically different. Titled Creatures Of Ava, it's a fantasy game about saving Pokémon-like creatures, as opposed to, well, imprisoning them and using them for labour (Palworld, I'm looking at you).

The hunting and fishing scene in is full of unique aquatic creatures and nearly invulnerable beasts. Whether it's random interactions with animals while out on the road or hunting them down with fervor, the wildlife in is a crucial part of the experience. Some prove to be much more of a challenge than others, but all the animals offer something of value, such as pelts, meat, and specialty items.

You'd best hold onto your space helmets, as judging by comments made by Lethal Company's creator, things are about to get even wilder in the co-op scarefest.

Viral co-op horror Lethal Company may only have released in early access in late October 2023, but it's already received almost 50 updates.

Lethal Company is expected to receive its Version 50 update soon, and the developer has shared an update on its status on Twitter. We don't have any idea of what this entails, but given how much effort is going into bulking it out, there's a chance it could be an incredibly significant update to the game. 

Not to denigrate either the efforts of either the comms or dev teams, but when a game has been knocking around my consciousness for a while, eventually I just move it it from a mental box marked "in development" to "probably out now, innit" without any input from anyone else. Inkulinati, a turn-based strategy game where you play a medieval artist duking it out with another artist on the pages of an illuminated manuscript, is one such. It's been kicking about on Steam since at least 2019, and in fairness to me it did launch in January last year - it just went into early access. These factors contributed to me being sort of surprised at the reveal of the actual release date for 1.0, which is February 22nd.

Disney Animation’s new film Wish is meant as a centennial celebration of the studio’s extensive catalog. The original fairy tale follows defiant protagonist Asha (voiced by Ariana DeBose) and her little goat Valentino (voiced by Alan Tudyk) in their quest against the arrogant King Magnifico (Chris Pine), and it includes an array of visual and musical references to past Disney classics. It's once again GeForce NOW Thursday. Microsoft has announced new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass from late September to early October, which includes Party Animals, Gotham Knights, PAYDAY 3, and more.

With Party Animals, developer Recreate Games takes the goofy joy of floppy, physics-based multiplayer games like Fall Guys, Gang Beasts, and Human: Fall Flat and puts its own spin on them. Instead of falling in with the rank and file, Party Animals pushes the genre forward thanks to a thoughtful attention to detail, creative levels, and its engaging, comedic showdowns, though it does stumble over its inflexible rules and local multiplayer mishaps.
