Lost Ark’s “Break Through to Thaemine” update will go live tomorrow, bringing the Breaker advanced class, a new horizontal progression catch-up mechanic, new story quests, and events.
The Breaker is the male version of the Scrapper, and is a hard-hitting, fast moving fighter specializing in devastating combos and striking with his heavy gauntlets. The new class arrives with his engravings and stances to choose from to suit your playstyle, and some extras, including a new title, 10 new achievements, several related quests and skill unlock items, a trophy, and a training room guide to work through.
In addition to the new class, it’s Arkesia Tour time. This new horizontal progression mechanic event to help players level their characters up to endgame through a series of missions within four tiers. With three sub-missions in each tier and a number of tasks to complete, you can earn rewards towards horizontal progression. These include skill potions, skill runes, cards, silver, Pheons, rapport items, mounts and even fun items like emotes and songs. Some content-specific items are not included, so you’ll have to decide If you want to complete the content to earn all rewards or if you want to do it this way.
A new zone, Praeteria island, brings The Light of Destiny to Lost Ark, with new story missions that will actuallyreveal the location of the Ark and start winding down the entire storyline of Chapter One. The team knows there are plenty of unanswered questions, so at least one mystery will be made clear, and other answers will come too. Of course, there are more chapters to come. Still, this update will bring quests, new achievements, two new titles, a new Rapport NPC, Praeteria Island Soul, and more.
With so much consequential coming, there are a number of events with rewards to earn. There are eight events listed in the update notes, from familiar progression events like Super Mokoko Express, to Elgacia Powerpass, to Extra Endgame Content Clear Rewards and the ominous “Descend into Darkness”. The latter is the new name for the previously-announced Road to Thaemine. With that mighty leader of the Darkness Legion coming in April, this event is just one of the progression lineup to look forward to.
Downtime for the update is set for overnight, March 20th at 2AM PT / 9 AM UTC.
