You could jump into a different New Eden inEVE Vanguard, the upcoming sci-fi sandbox FPS on the way, as CCP has announced more on the nextFirst Strike playtest, which begins tomorrow.
The playtest will be reserved for all EVE Online Omega players who wish to take part, as part of the Founders’ Access perks. The test begins tomorrow, March 21st at 12:00 UTC/8 AM ET, and runs through March 25th. The community once again has the opportunity to give their feedback and advice on this next First Strike test. CCP announced details on the latest build, as well as rewards you could earn for your time. This testing build will include a new mining laser prototype, with the early version of a mining laser in your default inventory to let you poke around, mine some ore, and open a few tech vaults. This means that mineable resources are also included in some of the crafting recipes and you can now only craft energy ammo using mined resources.
Other things to look forward to include the addition of suppression contracts. Warclones can choose between sides now, with corruption contacts getting suppression versions. There’s a new warclone suit for players and an updated suit for NPCs too. NPCs will now drop ammo and biomass, with tougher and higher-ranked enemies dropping better, and more, ammo. BCP has also rebalanced combat and rewards, introduced a number of server performance updates and improvements, and a number of other improvements as detailed in the latest announcement.
Reach the top 10 leaderboard for the most credits extracted during the next play test event you will get PLEX rewards. Harvest at least 2000 units of ore and you get an Osprey Navy Issue Arkombine Arisen SKIN. There are other rewards that you can unlock along the way as the team continues to hold testing events.
Tomorrow, after the event kicks off, CCP will hold a stream at 15:00 UTC/ 11AM ET to talk about Vanguard and answer community questions.
