It has been confirmed that star Nazanin Boniadi won’t return for the upcoming second season.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Boniadi, who played Bronwyn in the first season of the Prime Video series, won’t be returning for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2.
Boniadi posted on Instagram approximately three weeks ago that she decided to step away from acting in September 2022 “to focus solely on the #WomanLifeFreedom uprising in Iran and to advocate for the people of my homeland who have been risking everything for freedom.”
“Despite my passion for acting, I knew it would take a very special project to convince me to once again split my time between my day job and my calling as an activist,” the post continues. “A Mosquito in the Ear is that project — an adaptation of the Italian graphic novel Una Zanzara nell’Orecchio from Andrea Ferraris, and the feature directorial debut from the extremely talented BAFTA Newcomer Director, Nicola Rinciari.”
“In season two of The Rings of Power, Sauron has returned,” the synopsis reads. “Cast out by Galadriel, without army or ally, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, which will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will. Building on season one’s epic scope and ambition, the new season plunges even its most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness, challenging each to find their place in a world that is increasingly on the brink of calamity. Elves and dwarves, orcs and men, wizards and Harfoots… as friendships are strained and kingdoms begin to fracture, the forces of good will struggle ever more valiantly to hold on to what matters to them most of all… each other.”
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 premieres on August 29, 2024. The first season is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

In his brief address at the Outreach Session of the recent G7 Summit held in Italy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched upon three key aspects that India is prioritizing: technology and Artificial Intelligence, energy security, and affordability, and last mile service delivery to its people. Specifically on technology, PM Modi called on global leaders who converged in Italy to collectively ensure that the benefits of technology reach all sections of society, to realise the potential of every person in the society. He also stressed helping to remove social inequalities and expanding human powers instead of limiting them. "The twenty-first century is the century of technology. There is hardly any aspect of human life that is deprived of the influence of technology. While on one hand technology gives the courage to take man to the moon, on the other hand it also creates challenges like cyber security," said PM Modi in his intervention. He in particular suggested converting monopolies in technology into mass usage. "We have to convert monopoly in technology into mass usage."

This week we finally got our raging bear gauntlets on Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree, an even dingier and danker edition of 2022's best and dankest open worlder, but perhaps you'd rather play a Soulslike with a Florentine flounce and the warmth of a Mediterranean sunset on its brow. A brighter, stagier variety of action-role-playing, which deepens the connection between Italian folklore and Soulsliking established by last year's Lies Of P. Well then: cast aside those ursine mitts, slip on a pair of immaculate white theatre gloves and get your thumbs into Enotria: The Last Song, which has a demo on Steam.
