It’s been barely a month since the reboot of horror classic Alone in the Dark arrived, but it looks like developers Pieces Interactive are now making a number of layoffs in the wake of its release.

James Gunn has offered up an update on the upcoming animated series , revealing that much of the work on the series is done.

Marvel has confirmed the title of the upcoming movie will be Thunderbolts*.

According to Deadline, Michael Peña (Ant-Man), David Harbour (Stranger Things), Jason Flemyng (Boiling Point) and Arianna Rivas (The Harvest) have officially joined Jason Statham in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming action thriller, which will arrive in theaters on January 17, 2025.

With production set to begin next month on Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s 28 Years Later, it looks to have found one of its stars.

After all, it was Alone in the Dark that inspired Shinji Mikami in creating the very first Resident Evil all those years ago. Both games took place in a sprawling manor complex teeming with jump scares and puzzles, though Alone in the Dark veered more towards the occult and committing to a period setting.

To my pleasure, I found that, true to their word, it wasn't an attempt to recreate or reboot the first game. Instead, it's something different. It's a new and fascinating story drawing on the same elements that I love: cosmic horror, detective fiction, psychological horror, and the good old Southern Gothic.
