The MIX Next Showcase has returned for 2023 and featured a ton of games set to be released this year and beyond. While many of the games looked great, we wanted to highlight 10 of the coolest games we saw during the show. From brand new Rugrats and G.I. Joe games to a wholesome game about animals playing soccer to one about dungeon crawling and running a restaurant and more, there was seemingly something for everyone.

For three years now, THQ Nordic has hosted a bonanza of game reveals and updates on our upcoming titles, and we’ve been overjoyed with how the fan community’s reaction grows with each showcase.
Between Hollywood-voiced Lovecraftian horror, a vengeance-sworn Ninja Turtle, and the latest game starring the residents of a certain snowy Colorado town, we covered a lot across our 2023 stream. Check out our wrap-up below:

As Detective Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood, both bring unique qualities to their roles – David, the grizzled edge and wry humor of a veteran private detective, and Jodie, the plight to see her uncle safe and lift the curse plaguing her family.

NHL 24 Pulls Back The Curtain on PS5, PS4 Cover Athlete | Push Square
With the autumn approaching, it's time for information about this year's edition of the NHL franchise to start trickling in. And the first thing out of the gate is course the cover athlete. Last year, we saw not one, but two firsts, with Trevor Zegras making the first member of the Anaheim Ducks to appear on a cover, as well as Olympian Sarah Nurse marking the first woman. While this year's cover athlete isn't a first in quite the same way, it does make this lifelong Colorado Avalanche fan very, very happy.

NHL 24 Revealed, Cover Athlete Announced - Hardcore Gamer
EA has officially announced NHL 24 to the world and has revealed its cover athlete. There will be two versions of the game, both a standard edition and an X-Factor Edition as both will have separate covers. This year, the series has dubbed Cale Makar, the defenseman of the Colorado Avalanche, to be the cover star for this year’s title. He will be the fifth defenseman to grace the cover of the game joining P.K. Subban, Dion Phaneuf, Chris Pronger and Scott Stevens. Subban was the last defenseman to make the cover back in 2019, and he is the first Colorado Avalanche player to make the cover since Peter Forsberg back in 1998.

South Park: Snow Day is a 3D co-op multiplayer action game coming in 2024
Long-running animated series South Park has been blessed with two surprisingly good RPGs, the Stick Of Truth and the Fractured But Whole, which both accurately recreated the TV show's art style. The newly announced South Park: Snow Day is taking a different approach, rendering Cartman and its world in 3D for a four-player co-op action game. It's also being developed by first-person indie darlings Question. You'll find the trailer below.

Back in March, there was a reveal that TMNT: The Last Ronin was in development, with Paramount Global confirming that information. At the time, there were not many details of what to expect or who the developer was.
